One night stay whilst visiting the races. Very convenient for centre of town and racecourse. Free parking at rear of hotel which was good. Skipped breakfast as it ended at 9.30 am. So popped over Wetherspoons instead only 2 minutes walk.
One night stay,no services required, Bed was old and in need of new mattress, pillows were a disgrace, generally an old and shabby place with the exception of the bathroom which had been upgraded
An Amazing friendly welcome from Mary, Nicky, and Petra.
Lovely people who could not do enough to make are stay so welcoming.
We used the hotel as an over night stop as there are no motorhome campsites in Uttoxeter, on our way from John o Groats to Lands End with my Nephew driving our motorhome and I'm walking the entire distance for Alzheimer's Research UK.
All the staff were very appreciative of what we are doing and went the extra mile to make us welcome and comfortable. Thank you .
The property is very dilapidated with dangerously steep and uneven stairs. Not even a bedside light on one side of the double bed. Drawers with no handles. All very scruffy. Not enough bedding. No duvet.Very expensive for such poor facilities.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very central location and easy to walk to races. Church across the road with bell ringing every 15 mins not so good
Cheap and ⊠scabby very old fashioned
I know itâs an old building but doesnât mean that everything inside has to be decade's old
Was like going back to the 60âs but not in a nice way
Everything in the room was old and tired
(Even us by the morning)
Didnât get much sleep in the old creeky bed
Old but interesting building decently looked after. Excellent breakfast and comfortable room made for an enjoyable stay right in the middle of a traditional Englsh market town.
