The perfect experience started with the reception. There’s the most lovely woman there. I’ve called her halo. I forgot her name, but she was a spectacular hard worker gave me a beautiful ocean room. She really really attended to her audience and all the staff was very helpful very good people, beautiful atmosphere , gorgeous beach. Food was good spa really nice everything about it is a 10 the only place to stay in Montauk and the Hamptons area if you want a full facility, you stay at Gurneys . we try to it’s has all the amenities you will need . very attentive staff go every year when we are here 😎

There were no iron in my room just the ironing board. Also called the front desk around 1am to get a ride back to our room from main property but there was no answer so my partner and I had to walk back to our room. Otherwise the stay was great. Loved the bath house. Also loved the versatility of the property restaurant. Room were nice and spacious with a breathtaking view.

The food was delicious. There was an issue with the pool which will be fixed soon. My big complaint was room location. I am a senior citizen and my room was in the 700's. Many steep stairs to get down to main building. They offered a ride from my room to main building which I had to use because it was just too far to walk in the dark alone. Walking up to my room was not an option. This may be find for a young family but not for me.

I took my husband for a relaxing weekend for his birthday at Gurneys Resort. We had an ocean front room with a beautiful view! The room and resort was beautiful and clean. We hung out at GiGis bar a lot and the bar tenders were great! Super friendly and helpful! I loved our stay however I was truly disappointed to get a call on our check In day to tell us the indoor pool could not be used. That was literally what we wanted to do for the weekend was relax at the pool and eat and drink. I booked the trips weeks prior so to get a call the day of saying we can’t use to pool during our stay was truly disappointing. They waived the resort fee for the inconvenience, otherwise the weekend was great.

All of the staff were lovely. The food was much improved since the last time, and the room had nice fixtures, but they were in dire need of maintenance. The first time we went to Gurneys for our Anniversary, they put us in a suite and had beds and bowls for our little dogs. This year, they put us in the farthest building, overlooking the parking lot with no amenities for our dogs (who we paid for). They did not even provide hand towels! I hope they can improve because for that price, off-season, we can find better.
