Lovely grounds and rooms. There was a wedding on which was fine aoart from some noise latecat night.
The staff were great and very helpful. Tasty meal in the restaurant too
Really like this place. Amazing old building in beautiful grounds. Friendly staff, restaurant food pretty decent and rooms really nice, all at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was also excellent.
Staff were pleasant and friendly. Booked the standard room which was comfortable and clean. Nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. A few minor issues including some mould around the shower and sink plug hole and there was not have much of a view.
When we arrived,we were just given the key, there was no would you like dinner this eveing,or breakfast in the morning.
The room was cold and not clean.
We werent refreshed for 2 nights on the room.
There was oeftover hair all over the bath
when booking a junior Suite i was expected some level of luxury during the stay for a wedding. Other people paid half what i did and had much better facilities in the rooms they had booked.
the room was small, with the smallest double bed you could have found anywhere. cheap furniture and no garden view as advertise. poor service all round
Thank you Wortley Hall! We had a great stay - the hotel history is fascinating and the grounds beautiful. Our room was perfect and the food fabulous! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will recommend you to our colleagues, friends and family and would love to return in the future.
3 Pleasant nights the evening meals were very good did not have breakfast as i was working and dose not start until 7.15 am. Easy free parking the WIFI is a bit in and out but there is a phone signal. Comfortable room could have done with a map to find it.
Lovely location and a stunning building.
I would stay here again.
Beautiful surroundings but no food available in bar or restaurant as so many functions going on. We arrived 17.30 after more than 4 hours of travel
Not ideal
The hotel was a complete surprise. It looks very grand on the photos and indeed the setting is grand, as is the reception area and the bar. What had not been clear to us before arriving is that it is trade union owned or sponsored establishment which was a little ever-present in the ambience pictures etc.. Our room was tiny, very old fashioned and had a lovely view of a wall. The dining room view was little better but the evening meal and breakfast were very good. Summary - great food, location and grounds, very poor room and far too political presentation. Eclectic and an education!!
