Pet Travel is Problematic
I booked here specifically because I was traveling with 2 dogs. Here on the Hotels com site, it advertises clearly that dogs stay free. I was charged $20 per night, per pet. I have clean, well-trained dogs that I was traveling to a dog show with. When I got there and was charged extra, I was shocked, but I was also very tired and didn't feel like arguing it.
Checking in, I was told there were no ground floor rooms available. They must have had a heck of a lot of no-shows, because most rooms were clearly empty. I had recent knee surgery so that sucked
The room itself was a "pet room" The wall paper was literally peeling off the walls. The tub had a half-used bar of soap left behind. When I took a bath, there was long hair in the trap and the tub itself felt grungy. Water pressure was low and it didn't get very hot.
There were at least two large pee spots on the floor, which weren't cleaned very well. The bedspread was a decrepit Pendleton blanket.
I took the dogs to the pet run and there was good and bad there. First, the area is isolated and surrounded by junk and trash, so it was kinda ugly. But the run itself had high fencing that seemed secure. I didn't let my dogs run in it, though, because though it was mowed, it was full of mud, stickers and foxtails.
I think this might be a nice place for a quick stay on the road, but be aware of extra costs if you have pets.
