An old saying rings true - "You get what you pay for". Had an excursion for a expensive weekend in Pittsburgh and chose the 'economy option' stay to Huntingdon Inn through Hotels.com.
If we had to do it over, we most-likely would've steered far away from this establishment. Don't get me all wrong, it was an "okay" stay, overall. But, all the minuses of this "Inn" equal and may even FAR surpass it's few pluses.
Let's break it down...
THE GOOD: Price, flat screen television with numerous channel selections, Surprisingly effective air-conditioner - fridge - microwave- alarm clock, painted and re-floored bedroom and ample closet.
THE BAD: The locale (in general). Hotel needs a MASSIVE rehaul-repair-remodel of main check-in building, hotel exterior, hotel bathroom flooring-toilet-shower, hotel road-parking lot-parking bays, and entire site could really use some much-needed landscaping. There is NO - indeed, NO - room service/housekeeping... be warned. And finally, the well-mannered and respectable kid working there as a check-in clerk, is sadly, "out of his league" as a manager. He could really use his "superior" as an on-site assistant...badly.
