2/10 Médiocre

The clerk did not seem very knowledgeable. We chkd in and got to the room, keys did not open the door. encountered clerk on the 3rd floor, tried his, did not open the door. We all three went back downstairs to rekey the cards (Problem I suspect is the battery in the lock was dead), went back up to no avail. He moved us to a different room, same floor, success.
Another person staying there said they were given the first room,304?, same results. There seemed to be many long term residents.
Signs on several doors indicating they did not want room service.
The bed (a double/full) was like lying on springs with a sheet thrown over, uncomfortable, & made noise literally with any movement on the bed.
When we did get to sleep, at around midnight people were yelling down the hall in conversation with each other and some kids were playing in the hall running back and forth which went on for 15-20 minutes.
At about 1:20 AM, since I could not sleep, got up to take a shower. When I turned on the water, it was like a fog horn went off (air in the lines?) shut it off, tried again, same thing, 3rd time it worked.
At about 2 AM there were two men next door arguing loudly. Based on seeing a man earlier in the elevator openly drinking from a liquor bottle, we felt as though someone may get shot.
We made the decision to check out in AM.
When the desk opened at 10 AM we talked with a lady who informed us she was working to get the hotel back into shape. She was VERY kind & apologetic & refunded
