Unfortunately, our 4-night stay at the Hampton Inn was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were told we couldn't stay at the hotel the first night and were relocated to another property many blocks away. Then, we were informed that we would likely need to find another hotel altogether for the second night because they planned to move us again—though not back to the same place we’d just been relocated to. They also wouldn't transfer our full stay to a different hotel, which added a lot of unnecessary stress and confusion.
When we finally were able to check in two days later, the room was not properly cleaned. There was trash in the drawers and behind the trash can, and debris all over the bathroom—including a press-on nail on the floor. The towels provided had stains on them, and we had to request new ones. When we brought all this to the front desk's attention, the only response we got was, “Sorry, we’re short staffed.”
I understand that staffing issues happen, but the complete lack of preparation, cleanliness, and care for guests' experience made this stay incredibly frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this property until they make significant improvements.
