Omunity is a unique property where you come to experience traditional Balinese village lifestyle and for some peace and tranquility from city life. The owner is a kind and spiritual host and will treat his guests as part of his family. I love how we have community dinners and the table is always decorated with beautiful flowers and tasty shared dishes of different variety cooked fresh each day. It is mainly vegetarian meals served but you can ask for meat dishes.
We stayed there to visit the waterfalls and they have guided hiking tours to the waterfall and lunch was provided at the top of the mountain. The experience was the best, you get to visit local villages and farmers, they are so kind and offer you refreshments. You get to watch the farmer climb the tree and harvest fresh coconuts for you to drink. There was so much to do along the way to the waterfalls, it was an incredible experience.
Omunity has many facilities on-site, like a beautiful pool, large yoga space and massages. They also offer other activities you can book.
We stayed in cute Balinese huts which was so cozy but for those who are not used to this style of accomodation, beware there are no locks on the door the hut is constructed with bamboo.
Getting there took a couple of hours with a driver, I would recommend you contact the owner which route is the easiest way to get there. Google maps took us through many small windy and bumpy roads which was not the best way. We look forward to going back again!
Very good service and people. Unique experience of community and food. Accomodation was exactly like a living in a village hut but with basic ammenities available like light, fan and hot water. Just 15 mins ride from Sekumpul waterfall. The owner helped arrange 2 wheeler for us to go to the waterfall.
This place is perfect for travellers with 2 wheelers but roads are narrow for 4 wheelers so be prepared if you are taking one.
I cannot recommend Omunity highly enough!
The hosts Zanzn and Putu are wonderfully welcoming, tailoring the experience to your needs. They are so passionate about the project that you cannot help but become inspired by the work they are doing in the local area. The rooms and facilities are beautiful and the food is delicious! We were taken on a guided walk through the rice fields at sunset and a hike to the Sekumpul waterfalls. I wish we had been able to stay longer and see more of the local area. Thank you Zanzan and Putu for everything!
