The furniture is old, cupboard is squeaking, and bed is quite hard and not comfortable to sleep on. However, i rated it okay for the price i paid (less than $100) for a weekday night. There is also free parking, limited to only a few cars though.
The Hotel was located in an active area with many restaurants and close to the MRT. My stay was pleasant and I would have rated it excellent except that there was a bright light outside the window that the curtains could not completely keep out. The room was clean and the staff were truly exceptional...very friendly, eager to assist, and serviced the room promptly and efficiently.
Avoid it at all cost if you want to get your beaut
I would like to share my negative first experience with zenrooms.
1. We were not given zenrooms but was given room 303. I don't believe such room would have passed Zen room audit.
2. Extremely hard old bed that nobody could sleep on without the feeling of being poked by the spring all night long. (2 nights of my stays I suffered. Request for extra blanket to minimize the pain was not even granted)
3. Minibar was not working.
4. Are you sure they have functional cable TV. We tried to watch but it seems that the signal is not good and there is this grey screen overlay and disruption of noise from the TV itself.
Overall this hotel doesn't deserve to be priced at 90 dollars per night, with such a degrading quality. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed as I was looking forward to at least a decent stay with zenrooms.
The worst part of it all was that I couldn't even sleep on the bed. At the very least, hotel should provide bed tht doesn't poke your body all over.
The condition of the bathroom was really not up to stardard. Mouldy silicone can be seen and weird smell was detected. How ever the good service really make it better... Pillows were soft and bed was relatively on the hard side... Overall its ok considering a budget hotel
not so good, first, the staffs are not welcoming, i think they should have a training in hospitality. The bed is squeaky, the personal ref is not working. My wife has some medication that needs to be refrigerated and the hotel doesn't want to provide another one, so every morning I have to go down to the reception area to ask the staff on duty (only one staff smiles, the rest not) to put the medicine in their ref. One staff even ask why I need to put the medicine in the ref, I quickly replied that "if the fridge is working in our room then we wont have this conversation!
Cheap and good service. Some doubts about the cleanliness though, strong stench along the corridor and sheets do not smell fresh at all. Sewage smell from the sink and bathroom drain as well.
