Other than the nice guy who checked me in, the staff were unhelpful, and acted like they didn’t care. I chose to leave the hotel early as it just felt uncomfortable to stay there. I was supposed to stay there for 6 nights and I stayed 2. When I checked out, they told me they couldn’t give me any refund back. Ok, fair enough. It was a prepaid rate. Then I was asked if I had taken anything from the fridge. I said a water bottle. They wanted to charge me for it. I asked if they could take care of it given the fact that I was checking out 4 nights before. I was told: “this is not the US”. I’m originally from Argentina, have become American, I currently live in Switzerland and I’ve traveled the world extensively. It’s not a US thing. Any decent hotel would cover the water bottle. After some discussion, the rude employee accepted to cover it. Before arriving, I had emailed them 3 times about a package that was supposed to arrive before me for me. It took a third attempt for them to get an answer. I called the hotel several times to talk to someone directly. No one answers the phone. They answered once, I said hello, and they hung up in my face. The hotel is really far from the central area. Impossible to walk, you need a taxi or public transport to go downtown. I had booked a superior room. When I walked into the room it felt like a prison. I asked for an upgrade. The upgraded room was much nicer. Overall the experience was bad. Mostly to blame for...the staff. Just bad attitude.
