Always a great place to stay when in LP. Close to stores, trails, etc. Seat in a chair around the firepit and feel the stress melt away because of the view.
Small bathrooms. No breakfast no place to meet other people. The rooms need a total make over. No one was in the office in the evening when I needed help with my TV and lamp.
The receptionist was very friendly and well-informed, and the tiny cabin was adorable: thoughtfully designed, very clean and attractive. The location with mountain views across the golf course was lovely, though the cabins themselves have minimal windows: I'm talking about the views from the impressive fire pit area outside. There was a noisy party somewhere until late on Saturday night, though we could have closed our windows and turned on the a/c but we preferred the fresh mountain air. The towels were kind of skimpy, but there were plenty of them.
Cobble Mountain Lodge was a great place for our little family of three to use as a base to hike and explore the Lake Placid region. The cabin was cozy and fun, the a/c worked well, and the outdoor space and grill was quite helpful as we cooked a lot and the indoor space was not conducive to large meals. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again. There's even a short, nice, pedestrian friendly walk to Mirror Lake and the Lake Placid brewery.
Definitely to stay again. I was worry because an incident happened in my room, wasnât my fault, but some places charge for, but here; the lady understood that wasnât our fault. Definitely I recommend this place
