We were a group of 8. 8 rooms checking in on a (very unpractical) iPad, took about 5 minutes/pp... 40 minutes total.
Had an incredibly long drive getting there, we all needed to drop our stuff and relax for 5 minutes before going to a meeting, which we couldn't do. Receptionist forgot to charge the city tax so they called all the rooms, asking them to come back down right after check-in. We asked them to just give us a minute, or that we could either pay them at checkout or put them on the card that was used for the booking, but no. Treated it like it was our fault even. Card by card (couldn't pay them all in one go) took another 10 minutes.
Took a shower and flooded the whole bathroom within 2 minutes. That's not a problem but if the staff was a touch nicer I wouldn't have said anything.
It's not even that big of a deal if it takes 40 minutes to check in, just don't give us an attitude about it. Get nicer reception staff & get rid of that iPad.
The man at breakfast was an angel though. Left on a good note thanks to him.
