Bad Mold
Horrible experience! The hallways were nasty. The room smelled like mold and just old everything.! Roaches throughout the hotel, dead and tons of spiders. The Whole Jacuzzi look like it had dirt stains, Looks like it has never been cleaned. And the beach that’s attached to the hotel was in horrible condition and not kept the boards with nail sticking up everywhere and broken glass. Couldn’t even utilize the beach at all. They did offer to give us a third room, but at this point with how severe the mold was that just means it’s everywhere in that hotel and my daughter is highly allergic to mold

Time to renovate
Rooms and building is dated. Loud and disrespectful late night guests. Hot water was not always available day or night.

Didnt enjoy my stay
When i got into my room the air conditioner was leaking water then i had to wait over an hour to get a new room. Then my new room didnt have hot water. The staff made me feel like they could care less. For the price i paid for the room i could of stay at a red roof for cheaper in a nicer room and services.

Disappointed
I only gave a star because the room actually had AC and was cool but I won’t be back, especially with my son. We rented for close to $200 for a pool side room and kids from a dance were running the halls late, the floors were extremely dirty and smelled, bathrooms gross, people smoking drugs, and it was hot inside. Couldn’t even enjoy the games set out. VERY disappointed on our stay. I almost took my family and left. Even the outside by the beach was scary in the dark areas. People roaming everywhere and not so friendly. This place used to be so pretty but not anymore. If you are okay with all the above, our bed was ok and the ax worked but the tv wouldn’t work, nor the Wi-Fi.

Room was dirty hair on sheets and in tub and sink the floor was dirty sand everywhere the front door to room looked like someone had broken into the room. We have been coming here for years and probably won’t go back. The halls were dirty the front doors didn’t work they don’t serve breakfast anymore. It really has gone down hill

Wish it wasn’t, but it was..
The hotel from the start, had an awful smell in the lobby. Getting checked in, was a pretty easy, however within 10 minutes of getting into my first room, the sink didn’t drain, and the white pillows had yellow stains. I told the front desk, and they moved me to another room. The second room appeared to be better at first however the microwave didn’t work, and the shower leaked all over the floor. I then I had to leave early due to unforeseen circumstances. And when I informed the front desk he stated I had to speak with Hotels.com to get the refund. He then stated “well I’m not able approve refunds” after Hotels.com tried speaking with them. Theee days later, I’m informed that I will not be getting a refund because emerald beach already used it. Hopefully they used it on bleach to clean white bedding. The roof also leaks in the pool/game room. The best part of the stay, was the bar, it made it easier to ignore the dirty and bad smell surroundings within the hotel.

They charged for parking then didn't have enough so we had to park at another hotel and walk to lobby. No towels available at the pool and mold around edges and ceiling. Overall hotel is aging poorly and needs maintenance.

I like the room next to beachfront. They don’t have enough staff. Not enough food. Food was too old to eat. Always had to ask for towels. To expensive for just a room.

Reserved 2 rooms and wasn’t able to check in until 6pm when originally was supposed to be 4pm. One room A/C didn’t work, the fan was blowing but not cold and there were no other rooms to move to as they were not done cleaning any other rooms at the time. Parking was ridiculous to find, we had to drive around for 30 minutes just waiting for someone to leave as there wasn’t enough parking in the paid parking area. The staff were great and the walk path to the beach was convenient. The place has really gone down hill from the past few times we’ve stayed there. I’m not sure what has happened but we will not be revisiting this place when others are available nearby for less.

Labor Day Weekend
We couldn't check in at 1:30 pm like we hoped but guaranteed check in was at 4. We came in to town for a wedding. We checked in about 10:45 pm. Parking was not include but we couldn't find a place to park anywhere so we ended parking in the Holiday Inn. We got to our and it was nice and clean. A few stray hairs were found in the bathroom, otherwise it was clean. The outlet on the lamp didn't work so we used the one on the table. The ac was set to 50 but felt like 80. I understand it takes rooms longer to cool during hot summer days and we weren't sweating but it was warm. Overall, it was quiet and we all slept good. Breakfast was a small table of pastries and coffee, not much there. Check out was easy.

My room was disgusting. Stains on the walls and ceilings. I walked through a spider web as I walked in the door. Bathroom was gross. Food stains on the tables. There was hair on the bed and the floor was sticky. I contacted hotels.com to get a refund because I left and went to a different hotel. The front desk lied to hotels.com customer service and told them they offered me an upgraded room and said I declined. They never offered me anything. They just said okay contact hotels.com for a refund. This place is not how it seems from the pictures.

Outdated, dirty, air conditioning didn’t work and got downgraded to another room we could’ve paid less for. Easy access to beach though, near a lot of restaurants/bars, great staff but not much to expect from a beach side hotel where sand and dirt is not properly picked up from the floors or bed sheets for new guests.

This hotel is in dire need of a total renovation! For 200 dollars a night alot more is expected. Mold in room and throughout the entire hotel, paint is peelinf off, super small elevators, small hallways going towards the bay view, rust on metal parts, towels seem old, they did have a room full of new materials like beds, pillows among other things, maybe they are replacing the old with the new. This hotel sits right on the beach and the amount of sand is pretty much everywhere, staff was courteous and friendly. And you nees to pay for parking aswell! Will definitely not consider staying here in the future!

Expensive for the room I end up getting. The A/C didn’t cool the room temperature stay at 75 degrees didn’t cool the room at all. No toilet paper the toilet look like it hadn’t been clean. Hair on the countertop. Now you have to pay for parking in which we didn’t before. And breakfast $14 dollars per person. Now that top it. I had stay there 2 other times before but this experience that I had with the property was terrible. Never again will I be going back. But I wasn’t the only customer who complained there were many others when I check in and checking out. To much money wasted for this terrible experience. Maybe new owners and over priced!!
