Bali Wake Park is one of Bali’s only water sport arenas of its kind. You can easily find the park near the entrance to the north side of the Bali Mandara toll road and Benoa Marina in Pesanggaran. The park features 5 hectares of artificial lakes and verges sculpted and landscaped out of a marshy plot beside the mangrove forests of South Bali.
The team behind Maxout Hydrosports, a Singapore-based water sports company, went on a mission of hyping up wakeboarding on the island and eventually brought this arena to life. Bali residents and adrenaline-seekers can enjoy the excitement of wakeboarding that these guys first started in Raffles Marina, Singapore.

Wakeboarding at Bali Wake Park
Instead of boats pulling the riders, a looming crane-like structure was constructed above the manmade lagoons to provide the essential rigging for a specialised cable-towing system. The unique system makes possible for up to 8 wakeboarders to enjoy their rides simultaneously. Riders can also continue to ride even if one of them completes a course and decides to finish earlier.
Pros can hone their tricks on a series of slides and obstacles throughout. It’s great for those who've never tried wakeboarding before but are interested in trying out a whole new sport. Well-thought out and carefully designed, Bali Wake Park even has manned golf buggies around the lagoon perimeter, readily picking up fallen riders, and piggy-backing them back for another go.
Bali Wake Park features
The cable system at Bali Wake Park also enables you to not only wakeboard – you can try out all the other ‘towed’ water sports such as wake surfing, water-skiing and knee-boarding. Budding riders aged 6 to 14 can join the exciting kids club program. You can bring your own board and gear, or come as you are and use their equipment available onsite.
Riding passes range from 2- and 4-hour laps and you can even hog the park for a full day. Memberships and annual passes are also available. After some laps with gruelling sliding and aerials, you can choose to time out with an ice cold Bintang or enjoy light bites at the warung food court on site.
