I didnt get to stay there due to wrong location was booked by accident, not sure how when we put in close to Sandusky. By the time i realized what had happened i was unable to change or cancel the reservation. Very disappointed.
Super fast check-in, great front desk staff, room was clean and comfortable (tho beds are very firm), and we a great view from our top floor balcony. No elevators, so need to be able to take the stairs. Pool and waterpark non-operational, but we were sent to another hotel down the street and were able to use theirs. Would stay here again.
My son had a baseball tournament so we stayed the weekend instead of having to get up early morning to be at the ball fields. The hotel was in a quiet area, was very clean, and office staff was extremely friendly and kind.
Subject: Unacceptable Treatment at Hotel â Denied Check-In for My Spouse and Child
My wife and daughter were traveling cross-country and arrived at this hotel after 11 p.m., only to be denied check-in because the reservation was made under my name. Despite my wife being on the phone with meâon speakerâand me clearly verifying that she is my spouse and that the room was intended for her and our daughter, the front desk attendant refused to allow them to check in.
Given the late hour and concern for their safety, I made the unfortunate decision to book a second room in her name, trusting that this would be resolved through Hotels.com and hotel management the next day. I contacted Hotels.com immediately and their representative assured me the issue could be fixed.
Unfortunately, not only was the night staff unreasonably rigid, but the management the next day was equally inflexible and dismissive.
This experience was deeply frustrating and completely avoidable. It reflects a lack of basic customer service, discretion, and compassionâespecially toward a mother and child traveling late at night.
I do not recommend this hotel. Travelers, beware.
