It's an average-looking place, but it has a really nice room and a comfortable bed. The first time I checked in online, it took a minute to get up to speed, but it was easy overall. It's a great place!
I asked if I could get a room on the second floor. They said yes but still gave me a room on the first floor. I could hear the footsteps from upstairs clearly. And the waterpipes were very noisy. There was a fly in the room all night.
Great AC! Comfy mattress, pretty clean except the carpet. It could use a good scrubbing. Loved having Netflix on the tv. Staff was great communicating via text and messages. The area surrounding the hotel is pretty run down, and there is not a convenient spot for my dog to go potty.
We had a one night stay here while traveling. It was a very nice surprise to see all the effort with the nice upgrades inside and outside. Clean, comfortable, safe, reasonably priced and within easy driving distance to Shasta City, downtown Dunsmuir and Castle Craig. The bed had soft, comfortable bedding and a great mattress. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.
I was a little concerned when checking in and they asked for pictures of my id and a selfie to verify that I am who I am. However, once I rolled into town, the situation became clear. After an online check in, they gave me my room number and the code to get in. While this was very convenient, I kind of like checking in with hotel staff in person. The room was very clean and very comfortable. For this area, it is a great deal...and caters to the anglers out there. My only complaint is with the town...it appears that they have lost several of the dining options and the only things available on a tuesday night were fast food/hamburger joints. Do-able...but I was craving a beer at the local brewery which supposedly has good food.
Super easy contactless checkin/check out with newly remodeled rooms. Beds were comfortable with great pillows. My only snafu was trying to use the microwave only to discover it wasnât plugged in! Had to move the shelving unit to plug it in. Also, would suggest a pocket door for the bathroom that encloses the area with a sink instead of the tight bathroom door that encloses the toilet/shower.
