When we got there to check-in, sign on door saying we had to go check-in at another hotel in order to get our room keys. We finally get in the room, it is so outdated, water pressure in the tiny pink bathroom was a joke. The floor had pieces missing, the beds were ok. The cleaning lady was very nice. We stayed 4 nights & it was definitely not worth the money!
Took the grand kids to Gatlinburg. This motel was economical at $125.00 for a 3 night stay. I booked it. Then I read the reviews. I tried to cancel it and couldn't. No cancelation available. We were leary but the motel turned out to be fine. It is older. It does need additional renovation. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. It is super convenient for walking down town. You have to check in at Howard Johnsons just down the street. The evening crew was rude to the guests checking in front of me. However those guests were complaining and decided to leave. She was curt but courteous to me. The day shift people were awesome! Very helpful and nice. My room looked like the pictures. A little sparse and the tiles were green not pink. #206. I would go back here. This is NOT going to be the place for a picky person or someone looking for a 4 star experience. It is the place for someone looking to sleep well and be close to downtown Gatlinburg at a super reasonable price. Note: No elevator, stairs only for 2 levels. It isn't accessible.
Didn't like anything. Heat did not work, shower was collapsed, woodwork moldy and dirty, floors were dirtyand the walls and ceiling needed painted. Very dissappointing experience!!
For the price of this room ($250+ and way overpriced in hindsight), it was not even close to being worth it. The room was so sticky and dirty we did not feel comfortable taking a shower in the bathroom in the one night we were there. The tv remote didnât work and when we tried to turn the tv on manually, it was extremely sticky. Not wanting to touch the unknown goop, we couldnât watch anything. The floorâs laminate tiles were also too sticky to walk on. The bathroom door was also moldy and half rotten at the bottom. The beds were on metal frames that would make a grinding metal sound every time you moved. The pillows (if you could call them that) were tiny bags of polyester fluff that went flat even stack up with all three per bed.
The picture shown on the sight is nothing like the room. Bait and Switch.
The girl at check in was very nice though. Only positive experience at this hotel.
they did not have a disabled room, although i requested one. the man at front desk refused to make reasonable accomodations. he gave bad econolodge directions, couldn't find motel -"check in" was at a howard-johnsons, not travelodge as advertised. smart alec at front desk kept giving me bad directions to travelodge. he also checked me in, gave me a parking pass and room key. i noticed it said room 201. clerk assured me it was a 1st floor room. when i finally found the motel-no thanks to the clerk. i informed the clerk that room 201 was on the 2nd floor. i suggested his help getting my luggage to the 2nd floor and back down again in the morning would suffice until a room opened up on the first floor (he assured me a first floor room would be available in the morning). he said he couldn't leave the desk, although each time i had returned to the desk he was gone-within the office building and i had to wait on him to come back each time. i got a room across the street. i called the next morning only to find out they cancelled my entire reservation and illegally kept my money. in all i went by the ecolodge 7 times. i had go into the howard johnson check in office 5 times. i,m disabled and getting in and out my truck with my cane and then having to wait each time was a tremendous burden. i,m reporting them to my veterans association and the americans with disability act.
This property is horrendous. Broken down, unkempt, paint worn, grassy area full of dog feces, parking lot with cracks and potholes. Unsafe damaged railings on second story. Old couch on front porch of one of the units. Office is empty and abandoned, no attendant on property. Pool is half empty with slimy green water and damaged fence. Sketchy neighborhood. DO NOT ever consider this property!
We could not stay in this hotel as it was not suitable for habitation. Unsafe, dirty, leaking water / had to find other accommodations at great expense on short notice to avoid this slum hotel.
FOR THE PRICE...
It was 'fine.'
However, expect knocks on the door from strangers, water not working during the day and no one at the front desk... ever.
I wouldn't have stayed if I hadn't already guaranteed the room. The offfice did not look inviting, and the whole motel was run down and the room was filthy! There was dirt all over the walls and it looked like a dog or something had clawed up areas. The lamp shades were torn up and had mold growing on them. The shower floor had multiple cracks. I had to clean the room before we could even use it. Thank I used to be an inspectress for the Radisson Suites and know how to disinfect a room! We will never stay here again. I would love a refund!
Stayed 1 night but was disgusted the second we walked in. Walls were filthy. Had stained bedding and towls. Had 1 cockroach walking on tue floor. And the bathroom was even a worse experience. Mold on the walls. Vanity was to big for sink missing all doors. Wont ever stay that a wyndham again.
First, I would. like to say that picture is VERY deceiving. The room had literally two beds, a dresser, a TV, a refrigerator that did not keep anything cold, a huge musty mildew smell in the entire room, and the bathroom was nothing but a nasty sink vanity that was missing the doors, the tub was full of mildew and I was scared to use the bathroom. None of the plugs worked in the room except the one for the air conditioner and since that was the only thing going for it, I didn't want to chance charging my phone or laptop. Also if an Icemaker is something you need in a hotel, this one did not have one. No thanks, lesson learned. I'm ashamed that I am a Wyndham Owner and this place was such a dive.
This hotel is being tun by Howard Johnson next door. The actual motel not hotel is extremely run down. The outlets were uncovered. Stand up shower busted in multiple places. AC barely working and very loud. I would be extremely cautious about bringing children here. It honestly needs to be torn down.
There appears to be people living here as well.
