A few things.
I scored a great deal financially, a nice suite on a weekend but was it Walmart I had expected?
Stayed at the Doubletree branded hotel in SD. I’m a Hilton member but from arriving the staff made us feel less welcome for having used Hotels.com and scaring that deal. Thanks for being a member but you don’t get the water’s, you don’t received points, you don’t ……quite unwelcoming.
Then the room. The hotels.com pictures were at best misrepresented the rooms. The room what’s named “exclusive suite [Murphy bed]. The pictures showed a large suite, with business conference room, kitchen, seating area with a Murphy bed down, nice bathroom, and a king bed in a bedroom. But sorry, that king bed wasn’t really our suite. I felt slighted. Definitely misrepresented what I had expected. Before settling in, I checked the Hilton app and eventually found the room. Same name, same pics, minus the king bed room. I double checked Hiteks.com. King bed present.
Did I complain, no. From the reception we received, it was apparent that Hilton would not welcome the complaint and would point us to Hotels.com. The room shown didn’t exist so pointless complaining. And rationally speaking, we scored a great deal either way, cannot. Complain about what we got from a value for money but we were just let down by misoresented pictures. So I’m leaving my review here.
