This hotel was great for the price. It was clean and very comfortable. The pool looked inviting. The outside was a little run down but they are making upgrades. We were a little disappointed the lounge was not open- ( we tried out a great place called Purrs instead) but other than that it was a great place to stay. We went to the capital theater for a show- and next time would stay at the Red Lion again.
When we finally arrived at the hotel it was so hot we were uncomfortable most the night even with the air on didnât cool our small room. The beds were comfortable we wont be back just wasnât our vibe.
Always uneasy in this part of town. There was a water leak outside my room in the hallway. Ceiling tiles got water logged and fell. Hotel get on it pretty quickly to clean and warn others but yeeks. Had to prove that Hotels.com showed that breakfast was included in my booking. That irritated me.
They did not honor the breakfast the first day. The second day I proved that it was supposed to be included and it wasn't worth it. We were in a back area and my teen was literally trying to put a chair under knob for intruders. The check-in staff was rude and condescending. I do not recommend. And parking was atrocious.
Our room reaked of smoke and they are non smoking rooms
My daugter found a lighter under her bed and hair gel under mine.
When you read the discription online while booking they still advertise free breakfast but when you check in they hand you your card that says your room number the internet password breakfast hrs and that breakfast is $10. So big surprise when they charged for breakfast.
There isnât much to like about this place except the location downtown within walking distance of decent shops and restaurants, and the staff.
Our first room was infested with ants and was super damaged (walls with holes and torn wallpaper, furniture falling apart and damaged). Towels had stains on them and were small and abrasive.
We got moved to a different room that seemed to be in slightly better condition, but still old and dated decor. Bed was too hard for my husband who had difficulty sleeping. The toilet would randomly run to refill the tank. We later discovered that this was due to the toilet leaking from the pipes underneath the room where there is additional parking, creating a concern for potential biohazard.
If you donât need to stay on the main drag and can afford to stay elsewhere, I strongly recommend you do so.
I enjoyed my stay. The staff was great. The room was comfortable. My only suggestion is that since it is pet friendly they ought to have a waste disposal station. That was a suggestion i already offered previous to this review and I spoke with a manager about this when i checked out and they agreed with me. They will put one in the pet area.
