We enjoyed the extra room of their 2bdrm suite but given the pool was cold and dark (not family friendly), no ice machines available, parking available only at an extra charge, breakfast was hit and miss for a Residence Inn was vastly overpriced.
Good location and nice space.
Could hear a lot the floor above us.
Our room on the corner had 2 bathrooms but one does not have an overhead light at the sink, kind of awkward. Some of the outlets donât work. Pool floor was wet and very slippery. The pool and hot tub were great! Breakfast was plentiful, loved the options and the oatmeal bar. Front desk helped me get ice for our cooler, very kind staff.
From the excelent, fast, friendly check-in with John, to the comfy bed, large, clean room, and great breakfast options, We would definitely stay here again! Also liked the indoor pool, hit tub and fitness room, though didnt have the chance to use them. Easy walk into historic Durango and the bike path!
Pros: Great location - convenient to downtown and 35-40min to Purgatory. Loved the 2 bedroom room option with kitchen for our family of 4 so we could cook dinners and have some separate space. Great-smelling bathroom amenities and breakfast buffet had a nice selection. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool but it was pretty cold (~78degF). If the weather had been better, we would have liked to utilize the fun Sports Court. John at the front desk was very helpful with our questions or needs. We enjoyed getting hot peppermint tea in the lobby. The female employee refilling the breakfast on Thurs and Fri was great, and kinder than the male employee who worked the buffet Sat-Sun.
Cons:
There were apples left in our room fridge from the previous occupant. The fridge had an intermittent leak inside from where the freezer connected to the fridge. The bathroom door was extremely squeaky whenever it moved which was annoying at night. Several of the dishes in the cabinets were dirty & had to be re-washed when we arrived. Would have appreciated a small skillet, silicone spatula, and a few other kitchen utensils to be stocked.
I love staying at this place when I go to work in Durango itâs perfect. Itâs a walkable to downtown. Itâs close to the hospital. I work at the Dogs are allowed. Itâs clean. All the employees are lovely.
The staff here was great. Due to poor working conditions, I needed to check out of my hotel in Cortez early, and the staff was not only able to get me an early check-in but were also exceptionally kind during my four-night stay at the property. I needed to come into town for some business engagements during SNOWDOWN week, one of Durango's busiest weeks. I have been on the road A LOT this year, and my time in Durango was exceptionally pleasant. I honestly was sad to leave and head to Denver for my next leg of the trip.
Staff were great. Breakfast was good but had limited options. It would be nice to have access to ice machines without having to ask the front desk. Hot tub was nice. Overall had a great visit and would stay here again!
First room we were given bathroom sink was clogged and they fixed it promptly. A day or two later water was coming down from the bathroom ceiling. Called the front desk between 4 and 5 they said you have to change rooms now. Get moved to the thrird floor and the elevator could not be called to the third flood from the 3rd floor. The carpet seemed like it was a few year over due for a steam cleaning in both rooms and our friends rooms as well.
The staff was very defensive over a compaint I made. My door was open all that because the lock triggered by itself. I wasnât feel secure during my stay
