Our check in went smoothly but after that things were not as great as we expected. The $20 charge for parking in the lot across the hotel was no big deal but other issues were more concerning. The room itself appeared to be clean but little things were overlooked. The complementary shower gel and shampoo were basically empty and there was a minimal amount of tissue paper in the dispenser. My wife told me that she forgot her toothbrush so I went down to the front desk to request a complementary toothbrush and they were totally out of them. I had to go out at night to a Walgreens downtown to pick one up. After finally settling in for the evening we were shocked to realize how loud everything was in our room. The conversation in the next door room was clearly audible as well as anything people were doing in the hallway. We had a room at the end of the hallway on the third floor and all we heard until around 2:00am was the sound of the doors slamming and the people going into and coming out of the elevator. I don't think there is sound insulation between the rooms. As for the breakfast bar in the morning, it left much to be desired. A typical continental breakfast consisting of cheap pastries, cereal, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage links, and some really horrible coffee. So would I stay here again? Probably not. I would prefer to spend the extra $50-$75 to stay at a nicer hotel with better amenities and closer to downtown Milwaukee. This was my personal experience and my opinion
