Very unhappy experience
I arrived at the hotel and was told there was no room available for me because the hotel was overbooked. There were no other rooms available in Huntsville due to a low officer appreciation function. I had to drive 45 miles at 9:30 at night to find an available room in Crockett, TX. I was very tired after driving all day. I will be hesitant to use Hotels.com in the future. When I tried to get my prepaid amount refunded and the process is long and not handled well. Finally I was able to talk to a person who spoke very poor English. He said he was having trouble contacting the hotel to verify That I did not stay and I would be sent a email within 72 hours. I’m supposed to call back to find out the status of my refund. I’m very unhappy with the whole ordeal. I’m just hoping that I will be refunded for the prepaid reservation because I had th direct book with the hotel I did stay in and pay for another stay.
