Hotel charmant et so britich, mais vieillissant

Cet hotel avait un charme fou mais était vieillissant. Un des hotels les moins chers que nous ayons trouvé dans la ville (150 euros la nuit quand même!). Cet hôtel étiat magnifique en terme de standing. Les fans de Jane Austen seront ravis, l’hôtel est typiquement anglais, avec des décorations incroyablement British. La chambre est spacieuse, et comporte une belle salle de bain. Par contre la tuyauterie était cassée. Des traces d'anciennes inondations étaient visibles au plafond. La chambre était très propre. Les draps impeccables. La chambre était au calme. Le petite-déjeuner avait un large choix et était à volonté. L'hotel est situé en plein coeur de la ville, on ne peut pas faire mieux en termes de localisation.

L'édifice est magnifique mais mériterait des travaux de rénovations majeurs, surtout la salle de bain et les couloirs. Mais c'est très propre et sa situation est parfaite.

Hotel confortable à proximité du centre ville.

L'hôtel nécessiterait un petit rafraichissement (comme tous les hôtels anglais ...) mais les chambres sont très spacieuses et calmes. Les lits par contre ne sont pas très larges. Les équipements de rigueur sont présents : sèche cheveux, bouilloire avec thé et café souvent réapprovisionnés, wifi etc. Le personnel est agréable et fait la conversation. Seul point noir, une des serviettes de la salle de bain présentait de grandes taches noires.

A renover d'urgence

Hotel très bien situé et relativement propre mais les équipements sont à rénover d'urgence. Impossible de régler l'eau de la douche (bouillante ou glacée) et donc de laver mon bébé. Le robinet d'eau froide du lavabo tenait peine et était presque impossible à fermer, la tinette des toilettes, très cheap, n'était pas accrochée. Le papier peint décollé, les murs abîmés, de grosses auréoles d'humidité au plafond... Un petit cafard sur le rideau de douche aussi un matin... Petit déjeuner cher pour ce qui est proposé. Il y a plein de petits restaurants et bars très sympas à côté qui proposent des formules petit déjeuner beaucoup plus sympathiques et gouteuses... Très déçue aussi qu'on m'ait refusé et de manière peu aimable un muffin au chocolat pourtant inscrit à la carte à 21h (je pense surtout à une grosse flemme d'aller en cuisine). Donc service nul. Considérant le prix de la chambre - plus élevé qu'à Londres ! - je ne recommande pas cet hôtel, à moins que tous les autres soient pleins peut-être...

Hotel de charme très central

Un hôtel de charme dans un bel immeuble ancien avec une décoration des chambres plutôt moderne. Nous avons eu une chambre très spacieuse (chambre triple alors que nous n'étions que deux). A l'intérieur, beaucoup de salons avec fauteuils et canapés pour relaxer devant un thé ou café. Petit déjeuner anglais frais et copieux. Très bonne localisation, juste à quelques pas de tous les sites à visiter. Accueil inconstant.

Goodbye to an old favourite

Stayed on the last night before closure for refurbishment. Staff were extremely friendly and even went out of the hotel to get me gluten free cereal and bread for breakfast as they had run out. Can't wait to see what changes occur in the proposed two year closure.

The renovations will make this hotel amazing!

The hotel had a lot of charm and history but was very tired. We found out after we booked that they were closing a week later for 18 month renovation. The staff that was left was friendly and accommodating, but it was clear the hotel was tired and ready to sleep. The location was excellent for walking, shipping, eating, and touring. Perfect for our two day trip.

Pratt's chosen as it was central to all our visifing needs. Ten minutes walk maximum to rugby stadium, new hot springs spa, old foman spa, fabulous eating venues and a sgunning range of shops

Hotel close to city centre for Christmas market

Hotel could do with some love and attention. The lift is scary!!! Appreciate it is old building so has quaint qualities We had concern over the plumbing as the cold water tap ran hot!! To the point that we scolded ourselves whilst taking showers!

Two night stay to visit the Christmas markets. Found the hotel quaint and comfortable. Well placed for easy access to the town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Good location, but tired and basic.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location within easy walking distance of the main train station and centre of Bath. The building is old and in need of considerable maintenance. Floors creak everywhere. Sound proofing with adjacent room was really bad (so I got to hear every word of my neighbour's conversations). Bed was old and primitive. Bathroom facilities were clean but run down (although the shower was surprisingly quick to warm up and good to use).

Basic and tired hotel, great location

Location great,altho parking difficult. Dated and creaky ,so thankful it was just one night. Decor tired. Woken to fire alarm in morning with absolutely no organisation from staff or sight of designated fire wardens. Guests in lobby in nightware, and staff not knowing whats going on so breakfast continued to be served. Very unorganised.

Classic English Hotel

I love this hotel, and I hope they don't change it too much in the renovations. Yes, it is old, the floors are uneven, and there are odd little doors everywhere, but it is warm, the rooms are huge, and there is plenty of hot water. As charmless hotels spread around the world, it is nice that a few classic European hotels remain. Try out the public rooms, and meet a few fellow guests. The location is also excellent- a great base for exploring Bath.

Overall the hotel needs to be refurbished asap, especially the plumbing and the wifi. Staff is nice and friendly, and the location is great.

Esta muy bien ubicado. Cerca de la terminal y de lo principals atractivos historicos. El amoblamiento es acorde al clima decimononico. Habitacion amplia y con Buena vista. Sugerencia mejorar el colchon.

Very Satisfied!

We were very pleased to have a sitting room plus bedroom suite, which we did not expect. Location just a short walk from the Bath train station was great, and the Roman baths and other sites were nearby also. Very satisfied with our stay.
