Excellently located, right in the town centre, clean, well maintained and with helpful staff. Lots of delicious choices for breakfast too, which is always a plus.
The staff were great and friendly. They were helpful with recommendations and the location was amazing. We found free parking a 15 minute walk away and left the car there for 3 days while we explored the town
Overall location is very good as its in the middle of the main area.. staff are freinfdly how ever ..the parking charge of ÂŁ25 per night is to high for guest..seconldt the sign is very small and not obviouse.it isnt mentioned on the front desk either..also the car park is not sign posted so difficult to navigate to it..batheroom lighting could be brighter
Made very welcome. Room not as clean as expected. Long brown hairs found on bathroom floor in several places. Lotion container on sink empty, although soap one OK. Lots of carpet fluff behind room door- maybe hoover with door closed? Otherwise an enjoyable stay in Canterbury.
I stay here regularly and it's always a pleasure - easy check in, clean well appointed room and a really fabulous shakshuka. It's also in the perfect place as you can easily fall into anywhere nearby for a fab pint of real ale and delicious dinner.
Arrived slightly before check in time and unfortunately was not made welcome and felt that I was silly even asking if it was possible to check in slightly early it was only a question.
But all staff after that were very polite and friendly especially the Bar staff very good at their job helpful and welcoming.
Rooms very tiered blinds in need of a dust and general everything looked very tied.
Real issue was shower itâs in a bath and the bath is shaped so impossible to really get under shower so you have to lean in not the best.
Our room (202) was unfortunately very poor. We checked in very late and so didn't really feel like we could complain as it was too late but the room had a number of issues. It was an accessible room which meant a wet room rather than a proper shower, but that shower was so low you couldn't actually use it unless you sat in the chair. The bathroom also smelt very bad. The room is next to the loft shaft which is very noisy and kept us up all night. Breakfast service was poor and we waited so long to even order we went down the street to Cote.
The hotel is well located and yes, parking is an issue, but it's a short walk to one of the many public care parks.
