My recent stay at the Olinda Hotel was okay comparable to my initial visit in 2018. While the room size was quite compact, a notable concern was the cleanliness of the bathroom, which appeared to have been overlooked. Given that my purpose for this trip was work-related, I spent minimal time in the room, primarily returning for sleep, which mitigated the impact of this issue.
The hotel's location is exceptional, offering direct access to Copacabana Beach, numerous restaurants, and street vendors. Additionally, the surrounding area provides a variety of dining options, a grocery store, and souvenir shops. The ease of access to transportation, including Uber and public buses, further enhances its appeal. For these reasons, I commend the location.
Regarding the cost, this stay was somewhat more expensive than anticipated. However, it is worth noting that hotel rates in Copacabana are generally elevated during this period. For future visits, I may consider alternative accommodations to explore more budget-friendly options. Despite the cost, the Olinda Hotel remains a strong contender due to its prime location and the safety it offers, particularly given my preference for walking.
