Extended Stay hotels are always a good stay in a clean, comfortable room and a safe environment. The Rochester Extended Stay certainly upheld those standards. Would definitely stay again.
Just needed a place to stay for one night for my son and me, and it worked for that purpose. In the evening, there were a couple of dogs barking in the hotel (obviously, it's a pet friendly hotel), and I worried that it was going to be an issue. But I never heard a dog after 9pm, so no problem. We didn't even check out the breakfast, so I can't speak to that. Overall, a good value for the low price.
The hotel is in serious need of repairs. Our room had a light bulb missing and broken phone. There was no repair man available to fix it, so they offered to switch our room. We didn't, simply because we didn't have any need for the hotel phone, other than to call the front desk. There is also a lingering musty smell throughout the entire building. I have no idea what the source is. It was doable for a 2 night stay, but if we had been gone any more than that, we would have switched hotels.
The property is an extended stay so it has a small kitchen but there were no dishes, pans, flatware or any other eating or cooking utensils. The furniture was falling apart and the room was so small that there wasn't even room to change my mind! Don't waste your money here.
There was only one safe exit for handicap people and even that was not kept up with salt when it was slick outside.
The burners in the room didn't work properly.
I highly doubt that we would stay there again, especially for any length of time.
The elevator smelled like weed and the rooms need an update, dressers and tables were chipping and paint. Overall, though, it wasnât a bad stay and was affordable.
