Run down old Hotel. Card key didn't work even after re-keying. Had to replace remote for TV. Toilet paper holder broken. Hair found on sink. No place in shower to set soap, shampoo or conditioner. Only one bath towel.
I have been told the rooms are not available when I checked in around 7PM, and I was advised to cancel my reservation. When I ask Hotel staff to cancel on their end then they said no you have to call Expedia. When I called Expedia then they said you canât cancel it because the checkin time has been past due and there will be penalties. Eventually the customer service representative from Expedia reached out to the front desk of hotel and assured that there will be no charges but he is not able to cancel the reservation. I am not sure why there was so much communication gap between hotel and Expedia team but this made my experience very unpleasant and also made me think twice to use Expedia in future my hotel and other reservations.
The first room that I originally was assigned to appeared to not be cleaned so well, I didn't feel safe with my toddler staying there with me. But the front desk manager had great customer service skills and didn't stop trying to help until I was satisfied with a different room. Housekeeping just needs to be better.
