I’ll start by saying I booked the cheapest room I could find. Did I have hot water, clean towels, a microwave and a fridge? Yes!
Did I also have a used washcloth left in the shower, grime, sticky floors, a poopy toilet bowl and a courtyard full of debris? Yes!
The room smelled so strongly of cheap cleaner that I slept with the window open on a cold November night just so I could breathe. It’s obvious that they clean because I can smell overwhelming cleaner, but the place was super grimy. The halls were cluttered with decommissioned furniture, vacuum cleaners, etc. like. . . . these items weren’t in use, they were just chillin in walkways. Bizarre!
I am certain the hotel will copy and paste me a generic response, and that’s ok!
I still say book the place. It’s got a bed. It’s got hot water. It’s a place to charge your phone. Put the money you save into your gas fund and get back on the road in the morning.
