Interesting but not bad
The location was convenient, just off the freeway. Room was clean. Furniture was a little worn but looked newly remodeled. From the outside, there was no signage. Few cars in the lot and was unsure at first if it was open. Check-in was efficient. No breakfast (as others noted, so not a surprise) and $100 deposit required, refunded 3-5 days, for incidentals. Felt safe in the area and location. Pets are allowed and noticed a dog odor on/near couch. Dog barking down the hall when housekeeping came through. Overall, good value for the price. Would be better to have listing corrected instead of finding out the details second-hand.

A Disappointing Stay
I recently stayed at the Sonesta Essential Houston Westchase from November 7th to 10th, 2023, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon check-in, I was assigned to room 323, which immediately presented a series of issues. The room had no hot water, damaged flooring that led to a minor injury, and a non-functional television. After notifying the front desk, I was eventually moved to room 311 the following day. While the second room was an improvement, it still fell short of expectations. The water temperature remained consistently low, and the room was not adequately cleaned, with items left behind by previous guests. Additionally, a detached fire alarm posed a significant safety hazard. The guest services staff was generally kind, but the physical condition of the rooms and the lack of timely resolution to the issues were unacceptable. I would strongly advise potential guests to consider other accommodations in the area. I requested that the property manager reach out to me directly to discuss potential compensation for the inconveniences and discomfort experienced during my stay. Unfortunately, after contacting Sonesta directly, I was informed that no discount or partial refund would be provided. Book at your own risk.

Great stay but I chose pay at property and she tried to charge me more for my reservation.She said it did not matter that I had reservation.She changed my reservation last time I stayed and I had to pay 27 dollars more.When I spoke to the girl thats there everyday she told me that girl was new and there was nothing she could do about it.Once before they tried to put me out saying they were booked and it did not matter that I had reservation.And I should have prepaid.That got solved from contacting hotels.com but now their chat does not work on the app anymore after contacting them once.It says chat disconected.Anyway I hope they honner my hotels.com reservations and the price In the future.

I had higher expectations based on the images, which portrayed a well-maintained and impressive hotel. Locating the establishment proved challenging, as it was not listed on Google Maps, and there was no signage indicating the hotel's name. After making two U-turns and entering the building to confirm its identity, I noticed an unusual odor inside, and the lobby felt somewhat warm. The check-in process was efficient and quick, and the elevator was clean and functional. Initially, the room appeared dated, with a shower that had a plastic-like floor. It also had a musty smell, and the television was not plugged in, which I was reluctant to address. Additionally, the showerhead leaked at the connection, and without applying pressure to the knob, it continued to drip. One of the beds had red stains at the bottom that resembled old blood, so I was relieved to have a second bed to use. Given the rate of $73 per night, my expectations were tempered. I may consider returning if I notice renovations or at least some signage indicating the hotel's name.

We had several roaches in our room. We checked out and went to the Marriott across the street. My husband actually killed a roach and took it to the desk and all he offered was to move our room. Still waiting for our refund and security deposit to to returned. Stay away from this place. It smells like mildew, and we also saw a roach on the upstairs banister. He front desk clerk came out of the room we left with roach spray to spray the room, that only makes it worse. I cried when we saw them roaches. STAY AWAY, PLEASE!!!!
