Lackluster and underwhelming

Overall a very poor stay. Such a long list of things to name that we had problems with. 1. The elevator wasn’t working and they pleaded with us to try to put us on the 2nd or 3rd floor, but we had a lot of gear between the two rooms. They ended up putting one of the two rooms on the second floor and one on the first. The second floor room had no power working (lights, outlets, etc.). They ended up relocating second room to first floor after all the hassle. 2. Pool and hot tub were both out of order. 3. Self service laundry was out of order. 4. Gym had no water to drink. 5. They ran out of breakfast two different times during scheduled hours. 6. They ran out of wash cloths to use and had to wait for them to find more. Overall a poor experience with this hotel and would avoid if you can.

Dirty and

This hotel was dirty and had many broken amenities. The elevator was down (we were placed on the second floor), the pool was closed (Told us we could swim if we didn't mind the cold temperature of the water. Went to check it out and pool was full of mold and alge.), main hallway was closed due to water leaking out of the ceiling. Our room had dirty towels still in the bathroom, a previous guests socks on the floor, and stained sheets. The fridge was missing and the tub wouldn't drain. Upon complaint to the front desk, we were told he trusts his housekeeper and showed us the room had been marked clean but would move us. We were shown two other rooms and only one looked like it was clean and had a tub that would drain. (Sheets were still stained and we requested new linens.) The breakfast are looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time and food options were cold. It is clear the area is not wiped down or vacuumed.

The elevator has not worked for months. They are understaffed severely. Breakfast wasn't good. They ran out of coffee. The pool water was slimy and not good to swim in. Our room was never cleaned. Yuck. Stay somewhere else.

Hampton Inn Canon City needs staff overhaul

This hotel has very little staff. HVAC, indoor hot tub, ice machine, elevator needed to access upper floors were all broken and outside temperature was 96 degrees. Pool deck needed cleaned inside, worst breakfast selections of any hotel offering breakfast, carpets in halls needed vacuumed, no housekeeping help was available, and rooms were being cleaned as people arrived needing them. Worst hotel experience of any hotel we have stayed at ever.

Worst ever

Nearly an hour for check in the front tenant was cleaning rooms as she checked people in because housekeeping didn’t come in that day. No towels broken dirty pool area no elevator it was out of order supposedly due to an outage. Breakfast stops at 9am on most days but this day because the staff shortage cereal and apples were all that was available. Finally at 11p the management came into my room without even knocking saying they thought the room was empty?????

Very disappointed

Front desk staff was overwhelmed and stressed. They tried to be nice. They sent us to a room that wasn’t clean. When I went back they gave us a new room. This new room didn’t have towels. I had to inquire multiple times before we were given towels. One of the towels had stained from who knows where. Not what I expected from a Hampton. Very dissatisfied

I did not stay. At 12 I checked for early check in and they had no clean rooms and no cleaning staff. Returned at 6. Not able to check in, a lobby full of people, and only first floor had been clean. He cancelled our room free of charge because he could only cancel not check in people

We tried to check in at 7:00PM. We were told by the person at the front desk that the room wasn’t ready yet because all the employees didn’t show up that day. Because we booked a non refundable room, we waited for 45 minutes while another front desk employee cleaned a room for us. Once in our room at 8:00PM, we had only a couple of towels and no soap. The shower was filthy and moldy looking. We asked for hand soap and was told they would bring it if they could find some. They never came back with any soap or towels. The carpet in the room was also dirty and not vacuumed. I do want to say that the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I’m very sorry to say that we will be very reluctant to book again with Hampton Inn in the future. We couldn’t leave fast enough in the morning. Also no coffee was available in the 3 large coffee dispensers at 6:15 AM.

The place was obviously understaffed. At 3:00 check in we had to call a number on the desk to get someone to check us in. There were no towels, soap or drinking glasses in the room. A broken down office chair was pushed in a corner. At breakfast, there were no coffee cups the coffee was only luke warm, and had to be drunk with the plastic water cups we received the night prior. There were no forks and had to eat eggs with a spoon. Definitely, not what I expect from a Hampton Inn.

I already did this with Hilton, but this was the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in. There were problems from the time I walked in the door. There was marijuana come in from the side. I got inside and figured it wasn’t gas. It was your help behind the desk I could go on and on, but I’m tired of writing this I’ve sent to and I’ve had Hilton credit my account with some points, but that doesn’t cut it. I want my money back. There was no coffee for breakfast. There was no eggs for breakfast. The waffle machine does not work for breakfast. I came back from my truck to tell the front desk all the problems and the front door was locked. You could get in the front one, but the second door is locked so I called let the phone ring 15 -20 times for the front desk and nobody answered. My room wasn’t made up when they checked me into 202 then they wouldn’t bring me a key to 232. They said they were going to but they didn’t. It was horrible. When I asked for more coffee, I had to go to the front desk ding the bell. The lady came out of the back. I think I woke her up. She said it would take 5 to 10 minutes to get some more coffee out there 
really people want to get on the road. Coffee should be made at all times there was nothing else to drink there no juice no water no anything the milk was out. I was gonna have some cereal, but it was out. It was horrible. The whole stay was horrible.

There was no hand soap, shampoo, or tissues in the whole hotel. Had to get roll of toilet paper from hotels public bathroom. Did bond with other guests with same issues.

Upon check in there was one person working at the front desk and she was also doing laundry, vacuuming. When we got in our room there were no towels so went back to desk and she had to get them out of the dryer. She was very nice and apologized because they did not have enough help. Sheets did not fit the bed and were dingy. The shower was missing the shampoo pump bottle and was told they were out so no shampoo at all. The bar soap was a joke it was so smalll. This was a handicapped accessible room and there were 2 hand held shower devices and they both came on. Couldn't regulate to just get one to work. The shower was too big so water ended up going all over the floor wilhich was an accident waiting to happen. I have been disabled for years now so have learned to watch out oor I could have ended up on the slippery floor. Both mornings there was no breakfast because the staff said there was no food to prepare because the management quit buying food and supplies for the hotel. Felt bad for the employees because of the situation. Some even said they were looking for other employment because they heard the owner was going to sell. Employees were nice but dressed very unprofessional in hoodies and jeans. I traveled for 30 years with my job and stayed at many Hampton Inns so was so shocked at this hotel.

Black mold

The shower was unusable. There was black mold on the floor tiles and on the inside and outside of the basin. The chairs in the room were stained and unappealing to sit in. there were various shades of paint on the walls, just hit and miss splotches. This hotel is in serious need of repair and upgrades. It does not meet typical Hampton Inn standards.
