Be prepared to enter Olympics Lake Placid 1980!
Our experience with the Pines Inn started long before our trip, as we asked for a lower-level room. We were travelling with high-end bikes and wanted to take them with us in the room. After a few back and forth with customer service, we secured a room on the first floor which was perfect for us. The rooms are small but comfortable, the mattress was just perfect, I would have appreciated a small fridge in the room or an ice machine. Decor reminds us of the golden age of Lake Placid, during the Olympics, the sitting room is beautiful and likely gorgeous during winter when a fire warms the place. In summer, the porch which happens to be the patio of the redneck bistro is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee in the morning.
