We werenât able to use the pool because its under maintenance but in the app they did not mention that we are not able to use it, the check in time is 3:00 pm but they did not allow us to check in coz there is no room available at that time so we had to wait In our car for 30 minutes!
I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly disappointed. The pools and gym were closed, which was a major letdown. To make matters worse, the tvâs didnât work, thereâs only 1 light, you can hear everything if youâre on the bottom floor and they charged extra for almost everything. The staff seemed unfriendly and were always watching what we were doing, which made us feel
uncomfortable. The bathroom was also in disrepair, with water leaking from everywhere. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
The check-in went smoothly and the night clerk was friendly and efficient. The location is convenient, right off the freeway. The bed was pretty comfy. It wasnât expensive.
These facts account for the 2nd star.
Beyond that, this place is blecch. A stale stench greeted us as we walked through the door. The floor was visibly dirty and sticky to the touch. The bathtub didnât drain right. There was a hole in the wall and the carpet was peeling away in places. The TV sounded like it was about to explode and its picture was faded and grainy. The pool and hot tub are empty behind a cordon of yellow CAUTION tape.
While I do stay at some nice places, I donât have super high standards for rooms. I want a bed, a bathroom, a roofâŠand I want it to be clean. This it was not.
As my son best summed it up, âThey didnât say what KIND of Quality.â
It was very run down. It smelled bad. The bathroom ceiling looked like it had water damage. The furniture was very bad. My husband had a hard time finding a working plug for his sleep machine. Lamps had no lightbulbs. The blow dryer was broken so they sent me into another room to dry my hair. It was horrible
We chose the place for the pool and hot tub to soak are weary bones after a day of skiing. Unfortunately the pool and hot tub are out of commission until sometime in spring. This wasn't noted in the description. Otherwise staff was friendly and helpful and was overall a quiet place to call home for the night.
We needed to stay near family and there are not a lot of options nearby, but this was one of them. The price is reasonable for the area, and it was as described. It's an older property and fairly well maintained, but they are also using it as transition housing so if that is a problem for you, you may want to look elsewhere. My sister and I never felt unsafe, and it served our needs. The sheets and towels were clean and there were packaged snacks and some fresh fruit available in the mornings that I saw being restocked daily.
Manager could not be bothered to call me back .... Folsom is only 8-10 miles with plenty of other options at comparable rates.
Do not stay here - run, run fast. Lightbulbs in passages and stairs were out making it dangerous. We had to inspect 3 rooms before finding an acceptable one. Broken electric switchs & plug plates. Hairdryer was not attached to the wall and was hanging by the wires. Our room was not cleaned after asking 4 times all day until 10 pm. NO breakfast - only granola bars & coffee. Fish tank in lobby was DISGUSTINGLY green & murky (I felt so sorry for the fish). Furniture & property are exceptionally old & worn. The one pro (but may be a unique occasion) I did not see any bugs at least not in the room (in summer).
