This hotel is old and dated. There would be a moldy smell every time the HVAC turned on. Not at all worth the price. The front desk attendant wasnât helpful when we complained about smell (she cleaned the filters and said problem solved-it didnât change anything). The only good thing was that it appeared to be decently clean in the room. All furniture is dated including a low def TV. Shower floor looked slightly browned with age. Doors from outside remain unlocked 24 hours.
Desolate, dingy, and decrepit. We forfeited our non refundable stay within 15 minutes after checking in. We made the reservation last minute due to a change in road trip plans. We understood that it wasnât going to be the Four Seasons but figured that it would be rather busy since it was a holiday week and families would be heading to Hershey Park the next day. We pulled up to the parking lot after 11pm and we were the only car in the lot. The outside rooms all looked abandoned and we should have taken that as a sign and left. However we checked in and got assigned a room in the inside building which somehow seemed safer. The room door was so cheap feeling and the locks were jiggly and not secure. I thought I could brave it out but then we noticed the bed felt⊠not dry. And the furniture was stained, rusty and in disrepair. I contacted hotels.com to see if I could get a refund and they called the front desk on my behalf but said they didnât answer and suggested I ask the front desk for a refund. Honestly flight or fight kicked in and we just threw our suitcases in the car and got the hell out of there. We went to Tru by Hilton and had a comfortable, clean stay. I wish I took the one star reviews seriously and never booked it. Trust me; stay away.
Itâs a terrible little motel. If you are going to a concert and just sleeping there itâs passable. The price is ridiculous. The worst though was the indifferent and borderline rude staff.
For what it is an older, Howard Johnson hotel the rooms are nice. Thereâs a great restaurant and bar in the basement and overall itâs a nice older hotel.
Just needed a place to sleep overnight. We weren't expecting the Ritz, but the room was very small, the property very dated. It was clean enough and had an in room microwave and frig but no coffee maker.
Receptionist was kind and helpful that was the only good thing. POOR SAFETY ! The balcony door lock was half broken and door was opening on ground floor kids couldnât sleep well bc they didnt feel safe .
BATHROOM DOOR LOCK was broke as well it was not closing properly .
CONDITION IS SO POOR and old .. carpets furniture beds all so old they all have to be replaced bc looks so dirty and unhealthy.
WORST COFFEE AND BREAKFAST: actually there was no breakfast they had only regular bagels and cereal. There is no breakfast . WORST COFFEE EVER the coffee was not filtered and it was like they put some coffee flavor in a tap water it was disgusting all the other visitors also agreed and everyone put their coffees to garbage⊠we also told the young guy with glasses who was the receptionist on day time I told him thatâs not a coffee itâs a warm water with flavor thatâs not fair ! Just donât do it .
We stayed for one night and overall everything was good. We got a room towards the front main road and it can be loud at times in the night. Also wish they can add more to the light breakfast donât mind pay a little extra for that.
