Place it close to subway and nice and clean for me to leave $10 tip in one room and other room $20
For the cleaner to keep it up the good work for other guest.
The AC was weak/broken. I should have know it was a sign when i walk in yhe lobby with a HUGE fan blowing. However, with such good views, i thought the room might be okay. However, i was wrong. The AC in our room was broken. I asked for a roim change. Which they declined me. I had to ask for the AC to be fix for 5x. After it looks like i was running arouns circles. I decided to leave 4h after check in. My room stayed 78degrees the WHOLE 4h....was told by Hotel.com that the standard room temperature was 75F in the summer if 98degrees outside. I was not eligible for any kind if relocation or room change.
Im very disappointed in this experience in general. There is so much i can say how bad this booking was. It even caused me to break out hives [cholinergic urticaria].
Last minute and last choice when flight was cancelled and anything closer to the airport was sold out. View was actually kind of amazing, but the a/c (which did nothing to cut the humidity or musty smell) was Jerry-rigged such that the balcony was welded shut. Bed and bathroom were clean but all linens smelled so strongly of chlorine that I was hard to sleep.
Hotel was in a convenient location and had nice views of manhattan. Unfortunately, the stay started off bad and didnât improve much. The roomâs AC couldnât cool the room adequately and the first 24 hours was warm and we were unable to sleep well. The staff promised a resolution ASAP and gave us a box fan to use while we waited. Late on our second night a staff member brought a portable AC. He was clearly mad about having to install the unit and was cursing under his breath as he struggled to get it connected to the window. The portable unit worked well and we were able to sleep the second and third night.
The hotel needs some basic work and is missing some important things. There are no coffee makers in the rooms and the only coffee is in the lobby. The pillows are flat and not comfortable. The hotel has only a few ice machines on a few floors and no signage to direct people. This has potential to be a good place⊠itâs just not there yet.
Changed rooms twice. Ac wasnât working. Manager was really professional and nice. Didnât like cleaning room knocking on my door twice at 10:30 and 10:45 with DO NOT DISTURB on door.
In many of the rooms the air conditioning does not work.
This is probably a known and ongoing problem, because as soon as you complain, they bring a portable air conditioner and install it in the room.
But a portable air conditioner cannot replace "regular" air conditioning, it cannot lower the temperatures properly and is very noisy.
