The rooms are different (Green building)
The room I got was nothing like the one that I paid for on Hotels.com. The "modern" room with hypoallergenic bedding? Nowhere to be found. Instead, I got an old, outdated room with regular bedding. And at 11 PM, my neighbors were throwing a party, thin walls made it difficult to sleep.
Update:
Hotels.com told me to talk to the reception, so I did. They claimed they were fully booked but would find a solution in the morning. However, they admitted they had no more hypoallergenic blankets or pillows.
The next morning, the story changed. A new receptionist, much more accommodating, immediately brought up my review and complaint. Suddenly, they were eager to "make things right."
The Reality:
I booked a standard room, and they downgraded me without a word, no apology, no explanation, no attempt to compensate. But the moment my complaint became public, they quickly found a solution.
By 1 PM, they gave me a new (better) room and a free dinner.
Yet, despite everything, the bedding still wasn’t hypoallergenic, just another standard duvet!
I called reception again. They promised to fix it. 45 minutes later? Nothing. I had to go back downstairs to insist again.
Final Thoughts:
If you can, stay elsewhere. At the very least, avoid the Green Building, that’s where the photos come from.
