The look of the hotel is totally misleading. We booked the royal room and on our arrival we had to wait more than a hour because they had not got the room ready. In the evening there were bad smiles coming through our A/c and bathroom. The staff was wonderful. And the breakfast was excellent. The man who brought us our breakfast went out of his way to greet us every morning with a rose and flower petals on out table... the look of the royal room was not that great... cleanliness could be better.
Rooms stinks like smoke dirty sheets drapes dirty surroundings did not use this facility immediately checked out want full refund from Expedia please refund whole amount asap thanks
Staff trying to be helpful but not yet up to level of communication required for western guests. Had to call waiter from kitchen to order room service as unable to order via phone due to limited levels of English. Needs more work to bring cleanliness up to acceptable levels.
Very noisy hotel due to wedding guests, staff made no efforts whatsoever to control noise and guests running through the hotel and shouting up until very 4 am
this wasn't a good stay for us for the following reasons , we had a room that was about 20m from the dining area and reception;
1) Blood stain on pillow, dirty sheets - took it to reception they fixed this
2) Played music loud from the TV all night which kept us awake
3) Asked reception for help to book train tickets and they sent us around the corner to a supposed travel agent which we could not find. (all other hotels we stayed in did book the tickets for us and offered help with other travel arrangements).
I didn't really like this hotel as there was no Aircon working no windows in my room dark and gloomy the pilows werent comfortable there wasn't any hot water. I didn't bother trying the food. there is a good view of the taj from the roof but that's about it. very noisy and dirty outside. There are better places one could of stayed for one night. but hey you live and learn.
Our train to Agra was late so we check-in at night 1:30 am or something like that. Hotel stuff were quite unfriedly that we bother them at night even after we show, that the booking was paid in full so it tooks a lot of time to check-in. Room 216 was not ready - there were no linen and we should go and ask for theme instead of getting some rest after 7 hours in a road trip. Actually we realized that if our train wasn't late there probably weren't such negative experience and problems, though i discribed my experience to warn all hotel.com users.
Location is nice I stayed there because of price. Value of money is good for accommodation but restaurant is very expensive, staff is nice and helpful. Rooms are comfortable but hotel needs to pay attention on cleanliness. I'll recommend this property. Thanks
The hotel was extremely dirty and in a bad section of town, not that there are really any good sections though. The people at the hotel did not speak any English and were not willing to help us when asked. There was no hot water, the room had such a bad smell that we had to the leave the door open to at least get a cross breeze.
we enjoyed the friendly helpful staff very much. The hotel, room and bath room are clean. the rooms are not very big but comfortable. The food was served in the nice restaurant and was nice and tasty. the service professional The location is near to thatj mahal. if you want you can walk in 20 minutes to this building. The accommodation is really more than worth it the price.
Overall I was disappointed with this hotel - I stayed two nights and there was no hot water the entire time. The rooms weren't very clean and the location left much to be desired. Despite what the website states, they did not provide pickup from the station as requested.
I checked in on 23rd Dec 11 pm with my family all excited on the prospect of seeing the Taj Mahal ..
... and the in-house restaurant was already closed. We had to move out about 1 km. to get some food.
The hotel lacks enough parking space and cars have to be parked in front of the adjoining shops. The watchman was sleeping already :(
The room is small compared to the other hotels in the same rate category per night range.
The telecom was not working ...I had to go over to the reception for every small thing.
I woke up in the morning at 9 am and to my utter disappointment found very luke warm water coming out of the "Hot" tap .. I waited on request of the hotel staff for the hot water but it was only growing cooler.
I went out again to the reception to complain about the same and a hotel staff was sent across to the room to "inspect". He declared that the water was "hot" and that all of the other rooms were getting the same water and no one was complaining.! I did not bother to check with the other tenants as I had to check out soon. I called up Expedia customer care and the person called up the hotel and were given the same excuse that no body else was complaining. They apologized about the non functional intercom - but did nothing to fix it.
It was freezing cold ((6 - 7 degrees CI and requested them for two hot buckets so that my children could be bathed. They obliged. The water had turned even colder in the hot tap now.
I skipped my bath and checked out at 11.am.
