Great location, awesome staff, and a nice pool to cool off in. If you like to snorkel, paddleboard, or surf, you can get your fill right across the street.
Good
- Close to the best fish snorkel area in the island (3min walking distance)
Bad
- Cockroaches everyday. I saw one at the first day, and put spray by my own. After that, I saw deadbody everyday couple of times a day
- No air conditioner for free. You may pay 10$ a day for a room. It's Ok without it during the night time, but wasn't convenient for day time napping.
Our family loved staying at the Kona Seaspray!
We wanted a condo that was close to the beach and had an ocean view. We also wanted a smaller venue (the building has 3 floors and 9 units) vs a big hotel facility.
We loved the ocean view (yes, there are some phone wires, but you don't notice them) and the great balcony overlooking the ocean where you can watch the amazing sunsets. We stayed in 302 and had a stunning view of the ocean.
The location is perfect because it was a short walk to Kahaluu beach where there is excellent snorkeling (you can rent equipment at the beach) and many sea turtles. Plus, a shopping center was a few miles up the road. Everything was very convenient. We also took surfing lessons from the surf shop near the beach.
The unit came with a washer and dryer (great surprise) and a parking spot.
We loved the swimming pool area, which is another awesome retreat to relax. The pool is small but perfect for our needs. It was like our own private pool area. The pool area has a grill (which we used) and many seating options. You can view the ocean from this private area.
The condo itself was very clean and comfortable. This was the first condo where the kitchen actually was stocked with enough cookware and dishes.
We loved everything about our stay!
We liked everything about this condo. The location is convenient, but not in a congested or noisy area. The staff is friendly and accommodating, furnishings are attractive and comfortable, kitchen is well-equipped, parking is adequate. Can't think of any negatives. If I go back to the "Big Island", I'd be happy to stay at Kona Seaspray again.
