Booked 2 executive king bedroom for the family, ended up getting 2 separate rooms in separate floors. No king bed and twin instead, had trouble getting the baby sleep.
Booked a non smoking room and ended up in a room that was stinking cigarettes.
Arrived late tired from king flight, no hot water to bath, slept dirty.
Front desk was rude and argued we didnât book king bed and twin instead, they had generously upgraded us to king. While complaining about the smoke, he said will spray perfume!!
Don't be fooled by the appearance on the outside. I booked 3 rooms for my wedding. In one of the rooms there is clog in the bathroom and the 2nd one had a leakage in the air conditioner. I felt embarrassed by listening to the complaints of the guests
The Liwa Hotel is an oasis within the city. It is so quiet and peaceful. The Liwa really helps to relax you, especially after a 10-hour flight. Not too far from the airport, and not too hard to find with Google Maps. The staff was respectful and helpful, no problems what so ever there. The breakfast (for an additional price) was a little different every day and very tasty. I did have a bit of trouble obtaining water with my meal the first day, but the staff remembered me the next day and had the water ready and waiting! Some reviewers complained of not having other diversions nearby like restaurants, cinemas, etc. but if you are looking for a place to unwind, enjoy each others' company, and not necessarily leave the grounds everyday, this is the place for you. My husband and I enjoyed it immensely and are already making plans to return for a longer stay next year.
There was a problem between Expedia and this Hotel. Expedia had confirmed my booking in this hotel. But the hotel said that they were not aware of it. I don't know who is right. Money was already debited from my card. After 1.5 hours of phone calls to the Expedia, finally the hotel arranged some alternative place. Hence, I am giving bad rating to this Liwa hotel.
Wonderful hotel about 35 minutes from the airportA
The staff were a pleasure to deal with. Everyone from the bellboys to the reception desk to the restaurant staff were genuinely helpful and caring. Hats off to the person who staffed the hotel. When you have good people, you'll have good customer service. And get good reviews. Of course, it helps if we, as customers, say please and thank you to the staff. A small thing that reaps its own rewards.
Was looking for a hotel near the airport that had good reviews and clean rooms, and this was what came up on my list. They changed my room after I checked in because they gave me a regular room instead of the premium room that I had booked, which was a pain because I arrived so late and had to leave very early the next morning. Room was fine fine but had some hair on the bed. Ew.
