It's not luxury hotel , but have a very kind and respectful receptionists, good access to everything , bus , train , supermarket, shops , taxi .
A lot of historical things only 7 mint walking .
Walking only 5 mint to beach .
Sultan ahmed and ayasofa just round a corner and open to all cultural nice shops .
Breakfast is not bad .
The worst experience.Basically nothing works in hotel, super small bathroom,no shelves for soap or anything In shower.
In some rooms window glass is broken,in some room fridge is not working. WF is turning off.Light is turning off for few ours âŠbreakfast is not good.donât recommend to anyone.
Overall horrible experience and I am shocked to see the type
Of great rating they have that made me book this property in the first place. The hotel rooms are not equipped for comfort. The refrigerators donât work, there is no room service, they donât even have a coffee table in some rooms, the bathrooms are small old and uncomfortable, and you can hear running water all night from the toilet! This place looks nothing like on the pictures from the website. The area around the hotel is chaotic without sidewalks and a bunch of empty construction sites. Not worth the location or the money that I have spent! I will be filing a complaint and asking for my money back.
Simpele kamers maar zeer proper en behulpzaam personeel. Het ontbijt is genoeg gevarieerd. De muren zijn heel dun, we horen alles van de kamer ernaast. Maar denk dat iets typisch voor Turkije is.
Although manager on a reception was friendly, he ignored my two request to fix TV set (it was out of order) - I even step down asking for help but noone address it.
We had "king-size" bed - but it's just two one-persone matrasses joint together - the space between matrasses is extremly uncozy.
The location is good - just 10 min walk to the Blue Moscue.
The breakfast is good enough for 2-3 days staying, afterthat it might seem to be monotonous.
Kumru hotel is located in Sultanahmet area which allows easy walking to all famous monuments including Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace and so on. Amazing choice of restaurants within 10 min of walking. Grand bazar you ask? 10m. Column of Constantine? 7m. We thoroughly enjoying after dinner walks around Hagia Sophia complex or to Suleymania mosque or even Spice bazaar.
Property itself is a small boutique hotel with small reception area and decent size rooms. We rented a room with double bed and 2 twin beds.
Room itself was clean, and bedding comfortable. Staff changed towels every day (we didn't have the DoNotDisturb sign in our room). Room had closets which came in really handy to unpack and put suitcases in a corner.
There were several issues though. Bathroom door was creaky so much so that if one were to open/close it while other are sleeping, it would cause them to wake up. Toilet was way too low to be comfortable. Shower was good through.
Breakfast was not that great. Compared to pictures shown on site, it was not as good. Pan cake had something that looked like fungus. Other items, once finished, would not get replenished. If you are vegetarian like me, then your choices are reduced even further. Overall, we ate at hotel only on day 1 and chose to buy it outside on other days.
On service side, staff was very good and helpful. Other than language issue, there was no other complain.
