The location is great—right at the west entrance—but the way an elevator incident was handled made us feel like guest safety isn’t a priority.
My dad got stuck in the elevator while it was under maintenance. I told the workers immediately, but they just brought it up and said, “He’s not here,” without any concern. My dad later got out by himself on the second floor after the elevator took him up and down. When I asked how he got in during maintenance, the worker said, “We didn’t know,” and then told me not to argue and talk to the front desk. No one apologized or even asked how my dad was doing.
There was no warning sign, and no one took responsibility. We had booked two nights but checked out after one. If it hadn’t been snowing, we wouldn’t have stayed at all. I hope others don’t have to go through the same experience.
