We could not be happier with this hotel experience, really the highlight of our entire trip to Costa Rica. Located perfectly between the beach and the entrance to the national park, La Vela is basically in the forest itself, with monkeys and iguanas regular visitors to its outdoor "hallways." Staff was kind and accommodating, pizza at the bar was a wonderful easy meal, and the rooms were clean and bright. Highly, highly recommend.

The hotel is smaller and feels intimate. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept. We saw many monkeys n property. Rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bartender at the pool was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We have have stayed at more expensive hotels in Manuel Anton near the park, and we liked this one best. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff went above and beyond to take care of us. Our local flight was cancelled the day before our stay and Joseway sent a driver to pick us up 6 hours away. He also took care of all our excursions. Rodrigo took care of our made to order breakfast every morning and is so kind. It is a Great location! It’s a 3 min. Walk to the beach and 5 min. to Manuel Antonio National Park.

Beautiful property in only a few minutes walk to Manuel Antonio. Quick and easy check in and out. Only a few rooms so it never seems crowded. Surrounded by trees, and you’ll hear/see birds and if lucky even monkeys.

Heaven in manual Antonio.
Very enjoyable hotel experience. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful helping us get taxis or a book tours. Breakfast was nice and pizza at the hotel by the pool was very good. On the hotel grounds, we saw frogs, iguana, and many types of birds.
