Literally a hidden gem
We had an amazing stay at The Inn at Shasta for my birthday weekend. The innkeeper Max was extremely communicative about check in and the specific driving directions to get to the property since the internet was spotty in the mountains. They make great attempts to ensure you get the proper information you need before your stay. They have a binder inside the room with everything you need to know and questions you might have during your stay and about the room. Breakfast during your stay is exceptional. They deliver it to your room as if you ordered room service, but it comes with the stay. The entire property is peaceful and serene. The cottages are far enough that you have your own privacy with balcony. We had the acorn cottage which was well maintained inside. Better than most luxury hotels you would get in the city. We went hiking near Mt Shasta and then to a couple waterfalls around Shasta lake. Even though we spent time near Mt Shasta and was an hour away, the drive was worth it. I would 10/10 recommend staying here to anyone I know. They are very accommodating with pets too. If you are spending time anywhere between Redding and Mt Shasta you’ll want to book here. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity!

Large Soaking Tub was relaxing
We stayed the night here because it was about half way home from Sacramento for Christmas. We enjoyed relaxing in the large soaking tub after our drive. The bed was very comfortable.The room was spacious and easy to adjust the temperature and included a nice gas fireplace. The included breakfast was made on-site, delivered to the room and was very tasty. We will be sure to stay here again on our next trip to Sacramento.

Lovely place, but it's the service that makes this place stellar. Although conveniently just off the freeway, we didn't hear any traffic. The room was clean, attractive, and comfortable. The bed linens had a silky feel, and the shower was HUGE. Communication was excellent. When we arrived, we were escorted to our room and offered help bringing our belongings from the car. The subject of dinner came up, and it turned out the hotel was experimenting with offering dinner for an extra charge. We were so relieved not to have to get back in the car to get dinner or to eat Thanksgiving leftovers we'd brought. We were offered the choice of butter chicken or butter paneer, so we ordered one of each, which was great. The entrees were delicious and not overly spicy. They were accompanied by basmati rice and naan. We filled out an order for the next day's breakfast, which was included in the price of the room. My husband ordered the quiche, and I ordered the French toast "muffin," a cross between French toast and bread pudding. Each entree came with a potato/veggie saute. Also available to order were beverages and breads. I'm sure I have forgotten something, but we had more food than we could consume both at dinner and breakfast. Oh, and we had the choice at each meal of eating at a table in our room or the lounge. Max was very patient with us when we got lost getting there and also when my husband left his Fitbit behind, even with the bother of sending it to us. Highly recommend!!!

It's very easily accessed from I-5 yet quite secluded, surrounded by forest. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The common room/breakfast area atmosphere feels a bit like UK. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They have everything planned and sorted out to perfection. You can have your breakfast delivered to your room with all the trimmings packed. We will definitely come back and have already recommended it to our friends. Sorry we could only stay one night on our way from Montana to LA but it's a great place for a longer stay.

Peace, quiet, exactly what I needed. The manager is very responsive and caring. I stayed in the Acorn, a stand alone building with a private drive. The property is close to the train and the highway - you can hear both. It didn’t bother me, I was expecting it due to the excellent communication from the property. I love this little gem and I’m grateful for my time spent here.

WOW! This was the most comfortable place we've stayed in a long time. In the Top 10 Internationally, Top 3 in the U.S. Communication with the host was stellar, room immaculately clean, comfortable bed, awesome pillows, walk in shower and claw foot tub. You fill out a paper of what you want for breakfast, and in the morning they bring it to your room. Good food. I wish we had been here during better weather so I could sit in one of the many patio swings to enjoy the peace and beauty of this place. Highly recommend.

Very nice bed and breakfast! Only heard the train once it was very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay there again!
