Our entire stay was excellent, except it took 2 days for the A/C to cool the room to a satisfactory level. Service, cleanliness, and food and drinks were outstanding. Live music was an unexpected bonus.
Not a good business option. No secure internet and I found I could not get temperature below 70 - too warm to sleep. At checkout, when I mentioned these things the clerk just chuckled? Was definitely not inclined to return. Wanted to have a drink and watch baseball but the bar âlostâ their remote so only tv was Wheel of Fortune. Room was nicely appointed and bed was comfortable.
The site borders between spectacle, event, and just to the right of amazing to visit. Definitely not the typical hotel but worth staying! Had a great dinner at the wood shop, some amazing shrimp and grits at the Tavern, and a pretty good Old fashion at one of the garden bars! A great time!
The property was great, our room was definitely not cleaned well before we checked in. Upon arriving the guy at the desk asked if it was my first time staying with them, I said yes. He handed me some papers, didnât really tell me much. I was listening to the gal next to him check in her guests, telling them about different dining and entertainment options. First thing I noticed in our room was a straw with lipstick on it laying on the bathroom floor. We ended up extending our stay for another night. We had to get our keys extended and they still stopped working. The day we were checking out, I had misplaced my phone so was looking under the bed and other areas where it may have fallen or was misplaced. I found a dirty bra under the chair and a jar of lotion under the bed. I went to the front desk to see if it was turned into lost and found but nobody was at the desk. Waited over 10 mins nobody came so I returned to the room. The room should have been inspected and cleaned properly before we checked in. Otherwise the property, bars, and food were great.
