I will not stay here again. Every room Iâve stayed in has issues. The outlets donât work, lamps are broken, the refrigerators are broken, maids donât clean well and you see dirty surfaces on chairs, sofa, doors, mirror, etc. the maids took my husbandâs ring and only by begging did we manage to get it back. The manager never contacted us after that to compensate us in any way. Although the reception is kind, they donât seem enthusiastic. Iâve never stayed at a worst hotel and this was my second time staying at this one. Really wouldnât recommend this hotel unless youâre broke or have no standards. This isnât an exaggeration.
Very nice place, good service and good professional workers,it's a place that I really like to stay long but my vocation is too short and i hope to come back soon..
This was literally the worst hotel Iâve ever stayed in over 20 countries! I have photos and video proof!
Daily the power went out and thus so did the water, TV and internet. This happened daily for the first week WITHOUT a generator to help as it was broken. The remaining time the power continued to go out which isnât uncommon in Addis Ababa but 2-4 even 5 times a day was shocking.
No compensation was offered.
The first room I was in had electrical problem: the window lock was broken, bathroom door was broken including the lock and the safe didnât work.
The second room I was offered after complaining multiple times wasnât much better.
Nightly midges came in and would bite me all night (midge is similar to a mosquito).
Lamps without light bulbs.
Electrical outlets that were faulty.
Bedding, towels and shower curtains with holes.
Both rooms had an electronic DND sign that couldnât be turned off since the card holder was broken in both rooms. Nonetheless, staff entered.
The inclusive breakfast was cold every day as no heat was under the buffet serving trays. To get hot food you had to be at the breakfast before 7:30/8am. The manager ate the breakfast daily annd brought his wife too. Several days guests would come (myself included) and there wasnât any food left. A male chef would make eggs for us but we paid for a full breakfast!
I want compensated! Expedia was unreachable!
This hotel has not much to be desired. It is quite run down. The bed is hard and the locks on the door are problematic. The location is quiet but not on main streets. The food is good. I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for high standards but then you get what you pay for
The hotel is near the airport (good) but off the main road a bit. The shuttle wasnât available and I made do with a taxi they arranged (not so good).
The bed is firm and not the most comfortable after a flight. The hotel should get softer mattresses. The bathroom has no floor mat and no shower curtain. You can imagine how the floor looked like after a shower!
This is a 2-star at best.
The check-in desk agents were very friendly and welcoming. They were even waiting on me to arrive despite it being a last-minute booking. The room was large and in okay condition for the most part. It looked like it had suffered some water damage; bed was a bit stiff, but some may like it that way. Wi-Fi worked decently enough (worked better in the lobby than in my room). I thought the balcony in the picture was a rooftop area open to all guests, but itâs only open to one room. Seems a little expensive for what I got, but it was okay for a one-night layover.
I had a wonderful stay at Ye-Afoli Hotel.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bed where big and comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was simple but good, with a choice of various eggs, pancake, toast aso.
It was a quiet area, and not a lot of noices at night, but still close to shops, airport and citycentre.
