Last minute reservation and yet I was able to check in late at night. That was a huge relief! The room was clean and brightly colored and lifted my bad mood! Next time I'll try to stay longer to enjoy the surprisingly spacious balcony :)
The owner of this property was very helpful with direction to the property and the cost in public transport. The old gentleman who checked us in didnât speak English but he was very sweet and communication was via telephone to his son.
The hotel isnât in the best district of Athens and I wouldnât reccomend lone females to walk along these streets it was a bit seedy and indeed there were quite a few police on the streets when we walked back at 3:30 in the afternoon.
The hotel is clean but run down and the walls were very thin and conversations in next room could be clearly heard.
You get what you pay for the hotel was cheap and the staff were nice.
Trevlig personal.
Getting there was a bit of a challenge but I blame the taxi driver for that. Room was clean and comfortable, had some difficulty with communication but it all worked out. I was able to walk to the Acropolis which was my main reason for visiting Athens. I didnât venture out at night by myself as I was unfamiliar with the area. Overall it was decent.
It is a very quirky, unique place, the room was bright and cheery, they even have an old 1 person elevator/lift that plays music on the way up. The neighborhood seemed quiet when I was there, one block away is another major street with modern cafe's, groceries and public busses.. Walked there from public transit in 20 minutes. Keep in mind the streets are narrow and the names are long so have a good map marked out before you leave. (grab the free one at the airport, and the public transit map too). Or cab it.
Close to the center, clean, friendly staff (sometimes grandpa is at the reception and he does not speak a single English word, but calls his grandson) and cheap
Sehr einfaches Hotel in ruhiger Lage.
