The room/bathroom was clean and the bed and linens quality and comfortable. Two negatives would be itâs not a typical bed and breakfast - more like a bed & snack. Breakfast for our 2 night stay consisted of 2 blueberry muffins, peach yogurt, small packs of peanut butter and orange juice which was in the room when we arrived Friday afternoon. The juice, yogurt and peanut butter was expired, so my guess is they hadnât been recently placed or checked. My husband said the muffins were very good.
The house is beautiful with all the stained glass windows but itâs obvious the primary focus is the spa. There is only one common area that I believe is more of a reception area for the spa which has seating for maybe 4 people.
Our suite was #4 which was fine for sleeping - not so much for hanging out. My husband and I looked and felt a little like cabbage patch dolls in a room meant for Barbieâs.
This is a perfect place for someone looking to make use of the spa facilities.
This is the second time weâve stayed here and is even more beautiful than we remember. We are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The room is named âLe Jardinâ and it lives up to its name.
Billed as bed and breakfast exceptâŠ
No breakfast.
Arrived to find 4 small muffins in room which we thought was a nice touch.
Little did we know that that was considered the âbreakfastâ for all three days! There were also a couple of yogurts in the fridge.
Very disappointing. The room was cramped and not cleaned once during our three night/day stay.
The place was once amazing and remains with tremendous potential but for the most expensive location in Wellsboro I would have expected better.
We stayed in the Paris room which was just what the name would imply. Beautiful furnishings and decor in the B&B and very pleasant landscape surroundings --quite comfortable. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. I definitely recommend the on-site hot rocks spa treatment. The owner, staff and even outside local contractors were very kind to my elderly Mom. We've already recommended you to other family members. Thank you so much for a great stay.
The bathroom was tiny. Could not get out of the shower without hitting the sink or toilet. It was advertised as having a jetted tub. Our room barely had a bathroom. There was no dresser or shelves for clothes. The heat was controlled by management. One night was stifling hot. The other two were freezing.
liked your room but rest of everything was dirty and no clean linens, we think it was not cleaned since last people staying there.garbage was over flowing. they did not answer text or emails. no breakfasts?????
No management on site. Depended on breakfast cook (very good) for local information. Proceeded to get lost going to Colton Point on Grand Canyon and spent next two hours wandering around the "endless mountains" of northern PA. Not fault of owner. I just wanted to complain about my taking wrong road.
Charming and elegance inside and out. Room was lovely and cozy, with comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and staff were very cordial. Highly recommend!
It was beautiful, it was a victorian style B&B and the location was great- right up the street from all the restaurants and stores. We walked to dinner and shopping in the evenings! The beds were comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was nice after walking all day in the pa Grand Canyon!
Thanks for a wonderful stay. Our host provided some great tips. Loved the front porch, perfect for relaxing after biking on the rail / trail. Easy walking distance to local restaurants.
