Overall, the place was quiet and pretty clean. The owner was very nice. My only real complaint is that the owner is also the cook of breakfast. While cooking, as my wife was eating food sheâd cooked, the owner was observed blowing her nose in tissue. After which she continued cooking WITHOUT washing her hands. We didnât make a fuss but refused to eat anything she cooked from that point on.
Fun spot with a delicious breakfast and extremely hospitable hosts. Five stars for anyone looking for a comfortable and clean place to rest before hitting the slopes!
Great stay, breakfast and coffee in the am was great, very short walk to free bus ride up to mountain. Also easy travel down to Vail. Would visit again.
Hmmm. Not sure what to say. It is an old house with old furnishings. Felt like I was staying in a hostel. But I guess for the price it was appropriate.
The owners are exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this property and visiting with them and the other guests over breakfast. We found them to be kindred spirits.
Our room was very comfortable and clean. The shared portions of the house were welcoming and expansive.
Our breakfast was delicious and was even customized a bit to fit a special request.
We travel this way often and will definitely be back.
I had an outstanding experience during my visit, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Tammy and Todd.
The breakfast was not only delicious but also a delightful opportunity to connect with fellow guests from across the country.
I wholeheartedly recommend staying here! One of the highlights was having the Wall Street Journal available in print each morning, along with the Vail Dailyâsuch a thoughtful touch that truly enhances the experience.
Donât miss out on this gem!
The hotel staff refused my service dog and asked us to leave the hotel. They also tried to make us wear some of the House shoes and would not allow us to walk around otherwise. In the end, the staff said they needed to know the medical condition my wife who had to have a service dog. Will never stay there and never recommend it
Great spot to stay close to skiing. The owner was super nice and gave us a tour of the property upon arrival. The breakfast in the morning was delicious - fresh cinnamon rolls, eggs and ham, yogurt, cereal, juice options, etc. The room was quiet, cozy, and clean with a comfortable bed. Would stay here again!
Todd and Tamara are superb hosts. This is a one-of-a-kind BnB and I will definitely be staying again. If you want to hit the slopes hard, Tamara whips up a huge breakfast well before the lifts open, then itâs a short trot to the bus stop (<15 min to get to the lifts from their front door) for super convenient access to Beaver Creek. Vail takes a little more effort, but I would still recommend staying here and âcommutingâ to Vail. After all, if youâre not spending $500/night in avail Village youâre taking the bus anyway! May as well stay where thereâs awesome food, fascinating company, room to sprawl out, and everything you could possibly need within walking distance.
