This place was very charming. I enjoyed speaking with Steve, the owner, and learning about the property and his experiences with that he had there. He does a wonderful job making his guests feel comfortable and relaxed. Everything was wonderful!!! Thank you Steve!!!
We held a private event here and it was wonderful! The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was great and the facility was charming. Two thumbs up!
The welcome we received when first stepping into the inn was amazing and I have never experienced such hospitality. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne, although I'm 5 months pregnant so she offered me soda or water instead. There were fresh, delicious cookies in the common area at 4:30 along with coffee, hot tea and soda. When arriving to our room there was more champagne along with water, snacks, and robes and slippers in the bathroom. This stay exceeded our expectations and everyone we came in contact with was very friendly.
Very friendly staff. Diane and Taylor were awesome! Easy to find, great parking. Breakfast was good. Its a little pricey per night over all but you're paying for the atmosphere which was great. No ghosts this time but would definitely stay
again!
This was a delightful place to stay during our visit to Gettysburg. Staying in a historical landmark that was a hospital during the battle adds immeasurably to our experience. Everywhere we turned, there was another unexpected amenity- champagne at check-in, more on Ice in the room, fresh cookies everywhere, hot tea, and more. We felt like honored guests in someoneâs home. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the fireplace in our room was there to enjoy. The food was absolutely 1st class. Lots of secure parking. We highly recommend staying here if you can. Well worth the short drive out of town.
I arrived later than expected, Steve was very welcoming along with (Michele?) Hope I have the right name...The Staff was Amazing...I cant say enough about Diane (Inn-Keeper) , Deb at the Livery and Megan.. so Sweet!! Everyone made me feel so at Home and they all went out of their way to give me whatever I needed... How Great! So many Extra's that were totally unexpected...Champagne in my room to tea, coffee, plate of cookies... popcorn to pop...cold waters available anytime right outside and down the beautiful decorated hall to a sitting room with Games!! Wonderful...See you in the Fall....Karen
We loved the on site bar and restaurant. Everyone was super nice and went out of their way to make us happy. Beautiful property, beautiful people!! Great location for seeing the battlefield and downtown sites. There were no negatives.
This hotel was amazing. It was perfect. I loved it. Great food great area. It felt like a home. It felt like i lived there. I would spend a month there if i could. Kinda haunted lol but its still cool! Rhe lady Diana was nice!
The staff were so welcoming. As soon as we arrived they invited us to just relax, have a glass of champagne and then check in. All the little things they thought of- tea station, cookies, soft drinks, etc without having a formal afternoon tea. This worked great with our schedule as we were out all day taking in the sites at Gettysburg.
The Inn is very charming. Extremely well kept, and a very pleasant staff. Restaurant for fine dining, and bar next door just to hang out. The eggs benedict over lump crab meat for breakfast absolutely fantastic.
Itâs an inn with conservative, faux colonial decor, Each room is unique. The property is very well maintained and attractive. The rooms are large. It is just bit west of Gettysburg, beyond the western portion of the Battlefield. I was in the room that overlooks US 30âa busy highwayâbut heard really no traffic noise.
The complimentary breakfast in the morning is far above average. The first level of the Inn is actually a high end restaurant and bar, and the breakfast reflects thisâreal cooked food, tablecloths, heavy metal silverware, etc. Nice!
The only things that kept me from awarding an overall 5 is .that they are behind the times electronicallyâthere are insufficient 3-prong outlets in the room to power your electronics, and the WiFi was so slow and weak that it was effectively unusable. The TV was also microscopic by current standards.
Historic Inn that was in the middle of the battle of Gettysburg . If you love historic buildings, this is the place to stay. The staff was great, food was very good and room very comfortable.
