Far From Hilton Standards
I recently stayed at the Home2 Suites in North Scottsdale, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. While the front desk associate at check-in was somewhat pleasant, the rest of my stay left much to be desired.
Upon entering my room, I noticed it could have been cleaner, but I chose not to say anything initially. Later that evening, after returning from an event, I discovered long hairs all over the room and even a vape left behind on the nightstand—completely unacceptable and unhygienic. To make matters worse, the heat in the room did not work, making the stay even more uncomfortable. I called the front desk immediately to report the issues, but the response was disheartening. The staff member I spoke with seemed indifferent and simply told me to check with a manager the next day around noon.
The following morning, I spoke with the cleaning manager, expecting an apology or some accountability. Instead, I was met with excuses. While they did conduct a "deep clean" of the room later that day, it still wasn’t thorough, and the furniture needed additional attention.
Additionally, basic amenities were poorly maintained. The coffee in the room was never restocked, and while towels were replaced, no other housekeeping was done—bed was left unmade, and supplies were not replenished. The lack of consistency and attention to detail was puzzling.
