The Jardins del Real were once the gardens of the old Palau del Real and situated on 2 large hills built from historic rubble, offering a prime selfie spot. The hills, often called “The only 2 hills in Valencia,” were constructed by the wreckage of the palace that once stood here and rose over the flat city centre. They are also called the Hills of Elio, in tribute to the general who defended the city during the Spanish War of Independence and was later killed by his troops on orders from Ferdinand VII.
Despite their grim history, today, the gardens provide stunning, colourful pathways to walk, including a lake, rose garden and romantic selfie spot.

Torres de Quart is one of several distinctive viewpoints in Valencia offering astonishing and romantic panoramic views of the Old City District, dating back to the Middle Ages. The Torres de Quart is a former gateway in the original medieval city walls from the 14th century, which are long since gone. The gate, however, represents a stunning piece of architecture and provides the chance to get a perfect picture with your significant other while you fill your social media feed with photos of the city from above.
The monument itself is photo-worthy, showing signs of the bombardments during the French siege in 1808. It has served as everything from a military prison to a woman’s prison to a guard tower.
